Ripe Insurance Funster Discount is Now Live

Forget my question ref underwriting, just found the details it’s ERS / Lloyds
Yes ERS the same 'firm' as I have my breakdown cover with.
They also have a partnership with Aviva I believe.

I've used them for that ,when I miss fuled my old banger (diesel) after a few days of driving the bosses car (petrol) oops!

After speaking to operator ,truck arrived loaded me and down to deepest Cornwall to mates yard to drain and
re-fule all within the hour .
I was impressed.
After looking at all their other blurb is how I came across Ripe Ins.

So ,hoping I never need it.....

Going back to 2018 I was insured with AxxA with moho.
Breakdown with RAC response.
Juct 11 M5 n/b to avoid a pile up, I went for the grass of central res (60 mph'ish)

A hidden drain culvert gave me a puncture, and a pants changing skid along the c/r barrier.

RAC wouldn't attend said accident

AxxA later deemed a write off (side plastics and rear bumper quater panel)

Good prompt payout ,and swapped over to another on the same policy as it still had some months to run .

But when it came to reinsurance, even though I had ncb protected a huge increase in premium . Which was expected.
So bounced between other companies till it all went to silly price rises.

So here I am with Ripe . Watch this space when it come to renewal as I've have 5 successful awards from them for recommendations .
They may want it all back 🤣
Good luck on your quest 👍

Tried to get an online quote and didn't get very far. One of the first questions was has there been any mods from the factory standard. I ticked the box for tyres as I have upgraded from 15" to 16". Sorry we can't insure your vehicle was the immediate response.

£50 better than moneysupermarket. Kerching and thanks :)

Quick question to those that have gone ahead with a Ripe policy, I am reading on the Trustpilot reviews that people are having problems getting their proof of NCD approved by Ripe as they are not accepting the number of years stated on renewal documents but are insisting on a certificate from your current insurer. Has anyone here had an issue with that or have they sorted it out now? I thought that these days the insurance companies could see how much NCD you have automatically on their systems.

They asked for mine and I just sent the pdf renewal quote showing the ncb going forwards easy enough 👍

Ripe have now finished with all the introductory discounts, making the 15% they offer us the best deal that you can get with them.

If you follow this link the Funster 15% is baked into the page. This is a genuine 15%. Try it if you like, use a browser in private mode, go to their front page and get a quote. Then come out and follow the link above, and you'll see the 15% Funster Discount is applied and genuine. (y). Thank you Ripe.
Heads up for the NI Vanners, they do cover Northern Ireland too... And they are 300 cheaper than my renewal from a week ago, so I am going to try and back out of that I am within my 14 day cool down

Phoned Ripe for a quote as it wouldn't let me do it online. Unfortunately as we park our van on the road, even though it is outside our house, they were unable to quote so we wont be able to benefit from the discount. Adrian Flux appear to be the best quote yet, but I am waiting to hear from the CAMC as they may be able to match it, or beat it.
Yes CAMC were cheaper than anyone else I tried last May runs out May 25.
After years of trying with them to no avail I thought give them one my try, and bingo I got a surprise.
