I have the money for numerous trips, i certainly do not have an "entitled" view.I did not say that, but maybe people with money might have a more entitled view. In the grand scheme of things not seeing each other is nothing major.
One could travel to anywhere at any time past, present or in the future and come back infected with anything. No vaccine for anything has ever been 100% effective. So that’s it then eh, no body allowed to travel anywhere ever again? But, I guess they are not taking vaccinations into account. You could still come back infected and spread infection even with no symptoms. We would love to travel Europe this year but no way with all the restrictions and uncertainty.
Minor for Maurice and Major for John, perhaps?I have the money for numerous trips, i certainly do not have an "entitled" view.
Not seeing each other is very subjective, depends on each persons circumstances.
Minor for you, Major for someone else.

So some have been saying. It is starting to get tedious now. I wonder what the patience is a virtue will be saying next year and the year after if the lockdowners continue to get their way?You will get back to normal but patience is a virtue Michael.![]()
If that’s all they have to worry about then they have not got a bad lifeI have the money for numerous trips, i certainly do not have an "entitled" view.

There will always, forever be those not vaccinated for some reason or other. Does that mean we all have to stay locked down forever? From what I've heard and understood: The vaccine will protect YOU from any severe form of COVID. Nevertheless you can still have the virus with no symptoms at all and contaminate someone who either can't be jabbed (allergies mainly) or didn't have a chance to get the vaccine.
So of course.... it is still a problem.... not for YOU obviously but for the others.
The passing it round point is valid, but that goes for passing it round the UK too?no we havent that's the point
unless you mean the "selfish" we.
You can still pass it round if there are people with it in and around you. Even simple things like touch transmission.
All the countries have bewteen 30% to 60% of the population protected.... Just a bit of patience... We'll get to the point it won't kill anymore. Rome wasn't built in one day, was it?There will always, forever be those not vaccinated for some reason or other. Does that mean we all have to stay locked down forever?
With respect i doubt that will ever happen, there will always be some fatalities from covid. All the countries have bewteen 30% to 60% of the population protected.... Just a bit of patience... We'll get to the point it won't kill anymore. Rome wasn't built in one day, was it?
We are not doing bad glenn, there are many out their whom cant even afford a uk holiday. Just on the radio, people landing in Portugal today are attempting to get on the next flight back to the UK.So some have been saying. It is starting to get tedious now. I wonder what the patience is a virtue will be saying next year and the year after if the lockdowners continue to get their way?
What about the ones you mentioned that will not be vaccinated for whatever reason? Do we just let them catch it and die? Do we all stay locked down forever so those not vaccinated don’t catch it and die?All the countries have bewteen 30% to 60% of the population protected.... Just a bit of patience... We'll get to the point it won't kill anymore. Rome wasn't built in one day, was it?
It will be a small amount of people once a maximum of people will be vaccinated (Unfortunately... I am one of those.... Well I keep quiet in my little world, and wait for better times. and BTW I might die of something else in the meantime just the same LOL !!!!)What about the ones you mentioned that will not be vaccinated for whatever reason? Do we just let them catch it and die? Do we all stay locked down forever so those not vaccinated don’t catch it and die?
That’s about the choice we as a race of people will need to make at some point.
With respect i doubt that will ever happen, there will always be some fatalities from covid.
Can you though? This has been questioned by plenty of scientists but nobody is coming up with any figures at all to support thisEven simple things like touch transmission.
But we have been vaccinated fully so if we can't get on with normal life what's the point?
Are you sure JVT said that ... please give me a link to his statement. No I mean those of us who were Guinea pigs for the vaccine and took a chance to get vaccinated hoping what Boris said would be true in that it was the way out of this situation obviously just another load of BS to save his skin. Medical advice from JVT is that its perfectly safe for fully vaccinated people to mix with no adverse effects in general so lets get on with it (or at least the selfish we)![]()
I think the above from Frankie pretty much sums up the situation. From what I've heard and understood: The vaccine will protect YOU from any severe form of COVID. Nevertheless you can still have the virus with no symptoms at all and contaminate someone who either can't be jabbed (allergies mainly) or didn't have a chance to get the vaccine (lack of doses, or living in the country side with no help to drive you where you should go to have a jab... or anything else I'm not thinking of really!).
So of course.... it is still a problem.... not for YOU obviously but for the others.
Especially amongst those who choose not to have the vaccinations. With respect i doubt that will ever happen, there will always be some fatalities from covid.
Are you sure JVT said that ... please give me a link to his statement.
JVT said that if both countries had about equally low infection rates, it made little to no difference. Are you sure JVT said that ... please give me a link to his statement.

Two fully vaccinated people inside would be 'incredibly safe' says JVT
It would be 'incredibly safe' for two fully Covid vaccinated people to meet up, Professor Jonathan Van-Tam said - but the UK will not follow the US in enabling vaccinated people to get together.www.dailymail.co.uk
I think you'll both find he actually said the following in relation to the UK:JVT said that if both countries had about equally low infection rates, it made little to no difference.
The quote can be found within google somewhere however quite difficult to find as there are numerous JVT quotes, however, I remember that one.
With respect, the title of your post is at variance with actuality.According to news on the BBC
Summary
- Portugal is set to be moved from England's green travel list to amber - meaning that people can only travel there for essential reasons, the BBC understands
- No new countries will be added to England's green list for foreign travel, the BBC understands
- It is expected more countries will be added to the red list, which should only be visited in extreme circumstances
- "I understand why people want to travel, of course I do, but we’ve got to make sure we keep this country safe," Matt Hancock says
- Making sure coronavirus vaccines are available "at cost" to poorer nations is a priority, the UK health secretary also says
- 17,162 people tested positive for Covid-19 in England in the week to 26 May, up 22% on the previous week and the highest for six weeks
- More than 20 healthcare organisations call for stricter UK guidelines on face masks and other personal personal protective equipment
- The education recovery commissioner for England resigns in a row over the lack of "credible" Covid catch-up funding
Yes, I got the pun (or pune if you are a wizard)No, it was a pun, just a wee pun, but not an offensive wee pun, on or off my person ...And Jim says we shouldn't correct errors of syntax or grammar, or indeed, spelling, and, being a failed wizard, my spelling was always destined to be bad ...
