Rally Pershore Plum Festival+Malvern 'Follow on' 19th-27thAugust2019

Hi, Is it possible to add us to the reserve list. I assume if a slot becomes available for us you will contact us and we can then pay our deposit.
Thanks in advance.

A belated, "Got that" you're on the list

@Emmit could you please make sure the grass is freshly cut and very short so @swanseajack13 can find the sheep, it’ll keep him quiet for a minute or two, thanks(y)

Sorry for the delay in my response Simon @dabhand.
The management said they couldn't 'do' 'freshly cut' but they said, since as it was for @swanseajack13 would 'Half cut ' do? as they said that was his normal state.
Just saying?

That’ll do fine he’ll be able to see over the top of the grass with his wellies on!:)

I've said this before (and no doubt, etc, etc) But someones God loves an optimist. You're on 'The List'

For the information of all Funsters who have not, as yet, placed themselves on 'The List'

The Reserve List is now closed and we will not be opening it up unless there is a mass Drive out of those on 'The List'

Thank you for your understanding.

Struggling to find baby sitter ... is this an Adults only please? Understand if it is. X

Joy,
You get the same reply as last year.

We don't mind you bringing your granddaughter, BUT she, (the granddaughter) must realise that she is responsible for YOUR conduct.

On a serious note, there is direct access to a river on site but if that is not a problem, we do not have a problem.

Hi paid to your account today
£74.00 x 7 nights with thanks Jan.

Greetings to all those attending this Rally.

I have now received all the monies due for this rally and for your prompt payment, we thank you.

The scones are on order and the wine is maturing.

I will remind you later and thanks to Rosemary1 who posted earlier, it is appropriate to tell you that the site does have aerial sockets in the EHU's (I believe TV reception demands it)so, if you've got cables, bring them with you.

Seems I'm going to have to miss this time, I hope you all have good weather and lots of FUN :)

Sue, You are in Pole Position as No. 1 on the Reserve List. I wouldn't wish harm on any Funster but it isn't beyond the bounds of possibility that there will be a withdrawal.

For the benefit of attendees at this rally.

Mary and I have been in contact with both pubs in Wyre Piddle and have got some basic info for you.

The Anchor in the main street, has a full menu restaurant and does a Sunday Roast. The Piesse of Piddle would seem to be in a state of flux. They informed us that they don't do a Sunday Roast but can provide a takeaway service including fish and chips on a Friday evening.

I have scanned two pages for your info.

Hi Derek,
I have been to the small cl at the end of Mill Lane in the past and remember passing Avonbabk Meadows.
Am i correct in thinking you have to go into Wyre Piddle Village, turn sharp right at the roundabout into Church Street and drive down to Mill Lane.
Avonbankmeadows CL is on the LHS or is there another way?
Thx, Chris

Thanks for the question.

Because of a weak railway bridge, there is only one way for vehicular traffic (other than buses) to enter the village..
You are right about the route you took.
Avonbank Meadows is a CMC CL that is entered by turning Left from Mill Lane into the Boatyard.
I will be putting the 'Motorhome Fun' banner on the gate to the boatyard as soon as it arrives from Malvern.
Hope this helps. Please see a posting by me later today that gives general 'if's and buts' for the rally.

For all attendees to Pershore rally.

There is only one road for vehicular traffic entering Wyre Piddle (other than local buses)
On approaching the centre of the village, the road is quite narrow, not helped by a local who parks a car on the approach to the village's medieval cross. It is at this monument where you do a sharp right, (Note: There should be a 'Motorhome Fun' sign on the monument bearing an arrow showing direction.)
After you have turned right into Church Street, continue to the end of the buildings in the village and, once again the road narrows and there is a double blind bend. Look out for the Boatyard on the left, turn in there, (We are putting a banner on the Boatyard gate) bear right and follow the road to the water and on into the Rally field.

NB STRICTLY NO ARRIVALS BEFORE 12 NOON ON MONDAY. please

There are TWO CL's on Mill Lane at Wyre Piddle that have departures before 12 noon. I do not want a Funster trying to negotiate around oncoming Car/Caravan combinations and I'll be blunt, we're doing this for the benefit of many, not the selfish few who try to get there early in the hope of bagging a prime spot.

If you have a kayak, paddle board, canoe or the like, you are free to enjoy the river at any time.
Anglers will have to see John, the owner of the site who can give advice as to whether it is feasible or not.

The new owners at Avon Bank, John and Lisa, take as much pride in the site as the previous owners and, as a result, they do not want anyone to use groundsheets of any persuasion, even those that brag about about being breathable, so no groundsheets.

All dogs to be kept on leads when on site and to be exercised off site only. (There's a lot of 'Off Site')

We are running a raffle, all sales of tickets will go to Prostate Cancer UK so all donations of prizes, will be gratefully received. The Cornish Skittles are already packed in the van.

As always we will be selling paperbacks for the benefit of the Charity, and again would welcome any clean undamaged paperbacks and also any DVD's that we might sell.

Lastly (for now) The TV reception at Pershore isn't brill but there are aerial sockets at some EHU point, so, if you've got aerial cable bring it long to get better reception.

Any questions? Please feel free to ask.

Regards

Derek, Mary, Malcolm and Teresa (and Kora)
