Our Scotland adventure begins

Wildbill.. I have wanted to comment on your excellent posts for a while now...but did not feel i was brave enough or it was appropriate, and therefore please please please don't report me to the grammar and spelling polis just yet.
You obviously have a reading and writing issue (maybe dyxlexia) which my nephew also has, and I have to say I have learnt a lot by reading your posts.
Why don't we see it as you do... a word is spelt as you say it..prime example above...sosseg = sausage.
Because of you and your ability to post, regardless of your ( don't know what to call it?) Differences, abilities??? I feel I understand the terrible affliction my nephew has. ( Ah Maybe affliction ??). And his reluctance to communicate by pen or indeed keyboard.
So to you Wildbill a resounding thank you.
Cheers and thank you Bill.
Verry brave post thank you your safe on my threads it the ones who a critical and nastiest constructive criticism dose no harm it's the ones that are nastiest piss me of but upset Jim the most.

to my previous post I do not consider it a affliction it's a gift from God that made me overcome.
Academically I was not that greate but was given the gift of practical skills.
That have set me in good stead all my life.
Even in the oil and drilling industry
He will find skills that will work for him plumber one of my hero's Brunel dyslexic look what he done for the world.
Jacky Stuart Jamie Oliver look how many great engineering and construction folks are famous it a gift we see thing differently

We teach kids at school about famous and brilliant dyslexic people - Jamie Oliver, Einstein, Richard Branson. Didn’t know about Brunel I’ll add him in 👍. The way we teach it is that everyone’s brains are different and we all have different strengths. Some of the dyslexic children I have taught have fabulous descriptive vocabulary and are great creative writers. By giving them the tools - spell check, ReadWrite, voice to text etc they can achieve to their full potential. I can honestly say things have improved significantly over the last 20 years. Good on you Wildbill for helping raise awareness.

monzer you were perfectly correct, it is still known as Burtisland on Google Maps, plus bit more on Wikipedia.

PS: Enjoy yourself Bill, hope the weather stays kind. (y)

Yes I believe it does.. when visiting a place with a strange name I believe it is only common courtesy to show the locals that you are at least prepared to try and pronounce the place you are visiting.
