Tree on fire this morning, not sure but maybe a lighting strikeView attachment 942821

I'm fairly sure it was a lightning strike because something woke me this morning, I think it was about 07.15ish, and I thought it one of my pile of books sliding onto the floor ( this is not a rare occurrence ) so I did not investigate, but it must have been the rolling thunder (not very loud?)

there's no smoke without fire! Very sad that this beautiful Ash tree will have to come down after the lightening strike, the good news is that it will rise again from the new growth around the base, well done to the Northleach fire brigade.

I woke with a start at 7.15am this morning too. Didn't think much of it at the time but maybe it was thunder
