Not so much informative as entertainingWhy are people so angry ? If you don’t think the thread is informative there is an ignore button …. Just saying …
Slight problem there with crossing the channel i don't think there's an unmanned border between the uk and Europe and thats where date in date out is recorded.Remember boys and girls that rules in Europe are set:
1) for northern Europeans to follow
2) for middle Europeans to work around
3) for southern Europeans to just ignore
Enter by road through non manned border points (oops did i just write that...) and become a little Greek, Italian etc and all will be well. Good luck to the OP's friend, hope he's enjoying the Spanish sun soon
I don't think he's a motorhomer - so probably flew... by private jet... to a little unmanned airfield...Slight problem there with crossing the channel
To be honest this was about someone flying back ...not driving in a motorhome which is a completely different scenario .I've been back to this thread to read the outcome for the OP's friend, as it's of interest. In truth, however, I don't think anyone should consider what happened as evidence to enable us all to do the same. This is just one person, who broke the rules and got away with it. I'd hate for anyone on here to try the same thing and get caught out. I just don't think it's worth it.
IncidentalIy, I voted for Brexit and I'm fully accepting of the consequences of leaving the EU.

I’ve just read this thread out to the other half, its better than the telly!bye..
Time will tell whether there are any repercussions. No he hasn't got away with it.
Only time will tell if his actions have consequences next time he tries to enter the EU.
The thread had been let go till you just started it up againCome on,,does anyone really give a s**t,, we only have one life ,far to short to worry about things that aren’t your problem, just let it go ,have a happy life,,
Oh well, there goes my vote for MP,,,,,,The thread had been let go till you just started it up again
I think your lying and its all in your head and just making it all up as you go along just to confuse everyone and make them angryA friend just returned Friday went over on July 1st best prt of five months, no issues whatsoever.
Exactly.Willy
My brother lives in Portugal, says the restaurants love the British tourist as they drink and eat out a lot, spend their money and tip well. He sees the staff hurry to serve the British while ignoring some other nationalities as they “share one meal and drink water”I agree
All the other EU visitors do put economy back into Spain, would I be right in thinking though that they also tend not to drift into the localities as we brits do and spend our money like we do. With that i'm more thinking the other EU's like to sit outside their vans a lot more in groups and have a sing song between themselves or thats how I seem to see things when onsite in Spain, just my opinion though.
Remember the folk i referenced to "ARE NOT MOTOR-HOMERS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OF FORM", these are people who live or have lived full time in Spain for many years who have been asked to leave, these same people, rightly or wrongly, so you choose to decide, who have been over their years, possibly living under the radar, who knows, but have been keeping quite a lot of the local economy buoyant in one way or another.
Yes I know they should have done it the correct way and maybe applied for residency, thats up to them
Don't forget, this thread was to try to pass on any information regarding my mates return to the UK next saturday and what implications he may face in overstaying 90 days.
All the other stuff has been dragged up by others
What is this supposed to mean may I askExactly.

No boarder manned between Northern & Southern Ireland but makes it an expensive trip.Slight problem there with crossing the channel i don't think there's an unmanned border between the uk and Europe and thats where date in date out is recorded.
maybe he should come back in a dinghy do a proper test of boundariesThankyou, I for one appreciate what you are trying to do. And admire the attitude of your friend testing the boundaries
We will see,,BUSBY,,I don't think the Spanish authorities or the British will even consider what impact he is having on the local economy,he has overstayed and will have to face the consequences of the EU legal system.
Would imagine he can take his money elsewhere,,,He is not a camper so can fly out of the Schengen zone.BUSBY.Possibly your friend won't be quite as blasee if they are denied EU entry for deliberately overstaying the 90 days?
Think you read that wrong,,BUSBY.I'm confused. So where do they spend it if not locally?
