Non apologetic, smug arrogance .

There will be a thread soon from a Carthago owner telling us how someone got really angry after he drove over their hookup lead that was left in the road…..😀
Oh the joys of creating a new persona.

A friend did it on here a couple of years ago, and I was he was bored. I think it was Sandancers who was spying on his neighbours being brother and sister collecting wood and there were many theories.

Anyway a new thread appeared and I think my friend has left now

We've stop at this site (Car Park) in question, the position of the EHU points makes it very difficult almost impossible to run the cable in such a way as to make it aviodaible for others wanting to access the area.

I would also add for others who might be thinking of stopping there, the area in front of the grandstand has a massive slope down towards the course, unless your lucky enough to get a bay againts the fence along the actual course.

Can't see any pitches looks like a free for all. Cables anywhere on that bit of tarmac would be game for running over.
Having stopped there ourselves, I can confirm that is exactly how it is, I've seen far better layouts on many aires.

Just how much does a parking spot cost on this luxury C&MC location?

I need to learn some pitch etiquette myself, I walked partly on someone’s pitch recently and she came out of the van and told me off. Easy done, my fault and I apologised although anybody think I’d just wrecked her van.

When you arrive at a place possibly after a long journey, tired, not familiar with the set up or one way round the site system it’s easy to make a mistake.

Anyway I try not worry about such things, but best wishes for your health.

4 wheel Tag axle rear pressure/tyre is about 2N/mm2
2 wheel Single axle is about 4N/mm2
Shoe on a foot is also about 4.5N/mm2
So more likely to damage the cable walking over it.

Cycling over it now there's a different problem :ROFLMAO:
Out by x10?
60psi = 0.4N/mm2 according to UnitConvertors.net (too much alcohol and not enough sleep to work it out myself 😉)

60psi is the tyre internal air pressure not the ground bearing pressure which I've assumed to provide a contact patch of about 225mm x 150mm - or at least thats what my van looks like ;)

It’s still quite amazing that a huge bulldozer can drive over your foot (in a steel toecap boot, on-site) and it not come anywhere near hurting. Huge tracks on them though so don’t try on any bulldozer 😂😂😂

Have you allowed for the grooves in your tyres?
I don’t think x10 loss of contact space would apply. AND the answer would be in the wrong direction!

I guess that you are dividing the axle weight by the area of your contact patches (number of wheels included). Then I wonder if the tyre carcass somehow supports part of the load BUT when there is no air in the tyre is decidedly flat so my thought is NO.

More thoughts needed?

With low ground pressure tracks, it’s a lovely theory.
However, in reality, it would pretty much cut your foot off for sure.

It certainly does not

The only way you would get away with that, would be that the ground was so soft, your foot sunk as it tracked over.
Let’s ask some other plant people for their input. WESTY66 Coastal Cruiser.

As Brian says soft ground you will have a chance.
Steel toe caps will withstand a lump of concrete but if a large excavator or dozer tracked over your foot it would squash the cap down into your foot.
If you have ever seen the cap from one of these boots you certainly wouldn’t try it!!

The site at Cheltenham is much more fun on race night! You can even win back your pitch fees 😂

That must be a ladies high heel I would have thought, not a flat shoe?

EDIT I suppose I should add that men can also wear high heels if they so wish.

If a Bulldozer ran over your foot on hard or soft ground you might stand a chance of keeping your toes if the dozer had newish grousers on the pads and your foot was in between the grousers. If it was a tracked shovel or excavator you wouldn't be so lucky as they have a different style of track pad fitted.

Have to admit about two weeks ago I had to have a word about a pitch invasion where I was camped up. never before.
but two young kids knocking a ball about on the gravel parking area right underneath your window is not on, especially with a big green playing area starting 6 foot away!

Or lose your camper dependant on how addicted to gambling:LOL:
Wildbill
It was my first time and I won something back on 4 races the £26 being the first with £1 or £2 each way. Not done any gambling since - it was just fun.
