Lol if I go to a chip shop and order chips but they bring me mashed potato instead that's not my fault if I have been told there's plenty of chips as per my post above government failure not the majority who voted for it. But I suppose that's life isn't it. Can trust anyone to do what they say still worse things happen at sea
It's your fault if you accept the mash potato and keep going back to the same shop.

Others would simply try another chip shop.

Presumably the non EU will need an etias and be electronically recorded one try. On exit if they are with their EU spouse the length of stay is not recorded in the 90 days. I think I saw somewhere if the EU spouse leaves part way through the stay counts for the non EU as a trip alone unless they leave at the same time.
Pretty sure that is wrong. Any days when the couple are together do not count against the 90 days, regardless of the EU partner leaving later. Counting against the 90 days only starts when the EU partner leaves.

Brexit is in my opinion the best decision the country ever made. No point raking up all the old arguments the majority voted and we are out.

A) ??????????????????????????????????
I think the one and only benefit was to the government. They learned they could sell fairytales better than Enid Blyton and would never be held to account.

Everything else was fantasy and the working man is paying the price as a result.

Fast becoming a dictatorship.

My experience with finger print scanning is not the greatest. On many occasions they failed to work due to people scuffing their fingers when carrying out DIY tasks i.e. using sand paper, little cuts, contact with super glue the list goes on and on.

I think my fingerprints are nearly non existent. I've always got glue or paint or something stuck and then end up losing chunks of skin .

I admire your enthusiasm, but I can't share it. I have not yet seen one benefit to come out of brexit. Some folk say that we got the covid vaccine approved more quickly because brexit, Hancock said it was as well. Thats not true, as under EU law the permitted to act independently to approve vaccines in an emergency situation. So i'm struggling to think of a positive at the moment.

There could then be a market in marriages of convenience! After all once inside Schengen theres no way of telling if the couple are together or not.

Well, there are plenty of grey areas in the rules. Are you surprised? But you'd have to be together on entry and exit, so not sure if marriages of convenience is the answer. :giggle:

We had a fingerprint system for clocking in and out of work, no one liked getting stuck behind me as my fingerprints had to be scanned at least a dozen times each time I clocked in or out as I'd worked my fingers to the bone :whistle2: and the machine never recognised them. Guys were ever docked for being in late because they got stuck behind me. They ended up giving me a little fob to scan just to keep the queue flowing.
Looks like I'll not be going to the EU;)

There was no other chippy available
That's the poorest excuse ever.

The same excuse folk give when they vote in the same failing party over and over again. So again where's the incentive to do better when they know there's an element who are daft enough to keep paying them to do a crap job.

It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic

Sorry I really don't know what your on about it didn't matter who was the government in charge Labour Conservative or monster raving looney party a question was asked and answered so that's the end of the sorry but unfortunately there's alot of people who when they get the answer they don't want its toys out of the pram time and sadly it continues hence my first comment. Here we go again with the brexit comments. To me it was worth voting leave to see so many upset by the result. Now that's true fun 😂😂

Move along all nothing else to see here

Yep and that's the typical attitude of the lesser spotted leave voter. Do no research , believe lies , vote not knowing what voting for , create a mess, deny any responsibility, blame the politicians, the opposition etc etc and then instead of realising and admitting they've shot themselves and everyone else in the foot they instead think its funny.

Well done

That was the problem.the majority ,who could vote, stayed at home in bed.
I think many thought no one could be so daft as to vote for something without knowing what it was.

Even the 2 main instigators never expected the result they got. It was never actually meant to be acted on it was a spoiled brat rebelling and then couldn't get himself out the crap he created.

Yes, if the phrase, 'Imagine my surprise' was invented for anyone, I'd have Johnson and Farage at the top of the list.

It’s not nonsense at all it’s what our useless politicians allowed to happen, I voted leave because of all the bullshit from Brussels yet we still allow it, I would be asking our 650 MP’s WHY?
To be fair to the majority of the 650 MP's, from all parties, they knew this issue would be a result of leaving the EU.
Many MP's (including the PM at the time), highlighted this particular issue (amongst others).
Hence the majority of the 650 MP's were not in favour of leaving the EU.

However the MP's were overruled by the 51% democratic public vote.
The public were also aware of this issue (or if they were not, they were burying their heads in the sand), but still wanted it to happen.

You have to laugh.. here we are 2022, fantastic technology available, and a vet has to fill out five pages of paper to take a small animal across the channel.

I'll close this thread now. If you're quick you'll catch the last comments on the Mail's or Guardian's website, they all love re hashing 6 year old referendums there, go fill yer boots kids.
