Carry on chilling, and if you have time, do one for me please - it has been a tough week. Not us but relations to nurse.

I know this place well. ;)

Shepherd dogs that slept around the van all day till the farmer herded his cows past the van upon which they leapt into action!

o_O Purely spontaneous, we sent the picture of us on the beach, to our family WhatsApp group...I was told I needed to wax mine!! then it became a collective knees up..what are they like?

As a game I think it’s got legs..

It’s great to read someone just finding somewhere nice and staying put and chilling out!
So often we read threads where the poster is detailing a journey moving on every day.

Why would we move?!

And that is the point that people don't get - if you like it you can stay and if you don't you can move on. Its often posted on here that you can have the same experience in far away places by flight + car +B&B but you very rarely get to stop at a place that you can step from your bed to the beach and you rarely get the flexibilty.

Please keep the pics coming @Mousy we re hopefully heading that way later in the year.

The days are all blending into a new rhythm of sunbathing, dog walking, beach combing and sunsets with ouzo’s.

Martin will take the scooter off in search of his coffee and cake, with varying results. Average price seems to be €1.20 for each. He sits in roadside cafes full of Greek men presumably putting the world to rights, but who knows? He has no Greek...

He did manage an interesting conversation with an elderly retired Greek vet who went on to show him some semi pornographic photos of mature women he spends his day texting

In the mean time we chill with Millie on the beach..

Have you run out of tonic yet?

I continue to plan for our trip next year and have now finalised our route home from Greece which is a combination of must see places, all new with the exception of re-visit to complete the Romantic Road (Germany) we part visited 5 years ago. Members who are considering Greece may find the following informative, which is my basic return route and in brackets the current fuel prices for each country. Obviously, a lot will change between now and April next year (our departure date) but this helps me to start concentrating on each individual country and develope our route/journey in more detail. I will also attache a cost of living index for members information too.

Greece (1.49) – Bulgaria (1.19)– Romania (1.29) – Hungary (1.28) – Austria (1.18) – Germany (1.33) – France (1.49) – Luxembourg (1.13)

We’ve finally moved, but not far, down the road to Kala Nero..

It’s a car park on a pebbled beach, more popular than the last place but a nice walk along the beach to the village, plenty of cafes etc and a cycle ride along the main road to Lidl.

I imagine in season it will be very busy. Lots of Dutch and Germans here already.

We’ve enjoyed ouzo and sunsets, it’s our new ritual.

How you managing with cassette emptying, some have said to me garages are very accommodating and bring a shovel !!!

@PhilandMena and others considering travelling this way this app has proved very useful. It’s gives all the fuel prices, what grades they sell including LPG and the latest price.

We’ve found though that if one station amongst many has a substantially cheaper price it might be because it’s closed down.

It’s called fuelGR.

By law in Greece all petroleum retailers since 2014 must submit their fuel prices on line.

We haven’t had to use either yet but are prepared.

So far we’ve used the public beach toilets (with permission obviously. Some of the camper contact stops have loos to use.

I’d definitely recommend eco or cesspit friendly chemicals.

We have 2 cassettes and keep a sports bag with water bottle, toilet cleaner, gloves etc that the full cassette fits into and clean up everything afterwards.

Between our beach rubbish collecting and toilet cleaning, Greece will be spotless by the time you get here Phil!

Spent a few days at Kalo Nero a couple of weeks ago. It was perfect, nice beach & lovely restaurants along the road- can’t remember the name of the one we frequented but the food was the best we’ve had in Greece. (3rd along from the beach.

We are at beautiful Karathona Beach at Nafplio, so hard to leave a good spot.

Looking Fabulous,
Have you tried Greek dancing yet ?
Thanks for your posts

Thanks for this, I now have it on my android and it will come into it's own when we arrive next year. I note the average price of diesel according to my app is €1.67 (ouch!) yet yours is around €1.45. What prices are you seeing at the fuel stations ?

Forget my last, Just realised i had selected unleaded.
