Motorhoming YouTubers worth watching.

I don't watch them anymore, but did catch a bit of where they were buying this latest one, why have they sold this one and what have they got now?
I dont think they sold it , but lost ownership for some other reason, he talks in riddles . It should be renamed
"In a Daze"

A while ago they said they were going to America, is that abandoned now?

They use a strange term, " lost the van" they seem to suffer a lot of bad luck but that usually follows bad decisions and he is full of them. I suspect maybe they bought on hp and have now found out they can't take it to the USA or can't get insurance to do the same. God knows why they just didn't go to American and buy a van there but again they probably don't have upfront cash. Time will hopefully tell.

Well , as much as they make out of YouTube,it can't be a bottomless pit, and I can't see how they make anything else apart the vegan stuff they do.
Perhaps reallity has reared it's head.

Well, after These Happy Days raffled off Morgan (their removals van MH conversion) and bought a micro camper (odd choice given that they sold a much bigger van before Morgan because he has back issues) which they then sold on within a few months, they then bought a Westfalia Club Joker. A beautiful (and very expensive) van which they raved about. I stopped subscribing to them ages ago, but I went to see how they were getting on with the Westfalia, only to find that only a month after buying it, 'it has gone'. Now the fact they are YouTubers doesn't mean everyone has any right to know all their private business, but I do wonder why they keep making such weird van buying decisions. And surely they must research what they need, before doing so. Their name seems something of a misnomer, since they rarely seem to be very happy at all. Their best times seemed to be while they were travelling van-less...
I had exactly the same thoughts about the irony of their name.I'm struggling to think what caused the dramatic change of plan.

After the drama of "we've lost the van" they've now got a hired van which is the perfect van 🤣🤣 . I'm sure I've heard that before.
They still plan to go to America so the life changing phone call couldn't have been too life changing apart from someone saying you're not taking that van to America.

I don’t think it’s a particularly easy or indeed lucrative gig making content for YouTube. I therefore try to have some empathy for the content creators… I would imagine all of them go into it believing they will be the next itchy boots or Matt Armstrong with millions of subscribers and making good money from it. The reality is very different for 99% of them. I therefore, however poor some of YouTube is, try to remember that they are making it to try to entertain me, as that is what gets them paid.

Totally agree. They need to do the product sales stuff to make money. To be honest I wouldn't want to be them - I get to do the stuff they do but not have to carry a camera with me all day and spend hours editing.

One of my favourites is 'Snow and Curt' mainly because they are Americans touring Europe so its's interesting to see their take on things. They did a bit of England/Wales recently on the way to Ireland where they are now but they will be doing more of the UK sometime soon. Production is a little basic but a nice couple and interesting vids. quite and interesting all electric van they built for themselves too.

The others I have got into recently are 'The Cartwrights', An Australian family off road in a mega big 4X4 lorry and caravan! Theirs are top quality productions.

Will have a peruse of both those, thanks! 👍🏻

I know you shouldn't say such things now a days but he has completely looped the loop now.
Where the hell do they get the money.

Why Lapland in winter when it is dark? And cold, and Janine doesnt like cold! And as someone pointed out traditional christmas food of the area is not exactly vegan! (and they want xmas in the van)

So they can have the click bait title, "What they don't tell you about Lapland in winter"

Shows what he knows though when he's never heard of a demountable, and pointing out that it's got an axe on the side is beyond belief, what's he going to do with it?

I agree about Snow and CUrt on a wordwide trip, across, up and down the Americas, and now over here.
Snow had a major health scare a while back and is still cracking on.

The thing is there are so many of them now, everyone with a DJI camera is churning stuff out.
The latest ones to pop up on my feed are Northerners on Tour, definitely not everyone's taste, they're down to earth, have very little to say of any interest, she's quite gobby, he just grunts. Very little of a tourist or scenic value and always a click bait thumbnail.
Sometimes I'm tempted to look in for cringe value though.
Every video title of theirs is click bait. Watched one to see what it was about. The content belied the title.

Watched another couple to see if they really were “attacked in xzrdsgt” or “thrown out of mnvtes” then gave up. They title each video as a disaster movie.

People say why do you keep watching such rubbish, but I started watching these sort of videos about 5 years ago and then they were interesting as they were just starting off and doing the things we had years ago, or you could see places you would like to visit, but now there is just nothing new anymore they are all just trying to have the biggest disaster.
But these happy days take it to a new level and you just have to see what ever else he can think of and even these were interesting at the beginning when they were starting up in the old tranny.

I watch different vlogers to fill different niches , interesting build and humour,' Trueblue travellers'
build and travel, 'Gap Decaders', 'The Outfit,' then we come to incredulity and disaster movie 'Those happy days' .
The latest perfect vehicle , he's too big for the bed
I think he borders on "Control and coercive"

He seems to have hit the buffers with this one, have you read the comments below his post ,everyone, even his ardent hangers on thinks it's a bad Idea, whether he will take any notice is another thing

The bed was the exact reason they sold their Transit(?) based van and bought the removals van to convert! 🤨

They were parked in Zamora when we were there. Didn't see them. The others I blow hot and cold on are Reds on Tour. Every video is some drama. They were in Portugal when the fires were bad, it turns out we were near them and it wasn't that bad. the police made sure you were redirected away in good time. Like me he is an ex-firefighter so he can't have been as bothered as they made out. It all feels a little overdramatic.

The trouble is, they likely watch each others videos and learn all the bad habits thinking that must be a good approach… erm NO! Do your own thing and create a USP!

Touring With The Kids

i like these guys. think their youngest is wonderful.
Nope, not when they were going to have to ditch their elderly dog because it didn't fit their lifestyle! Miracoulsy it became ill soon after and was no longer a burden. I did ask if they would ditch a child if if didn't suit their YouTube life but didn't get an answer.

As for the Happy Days they constantly reach new heights of stupidity 😂 😂

The latest happy days is just about unbelievable and they even admitted to staying in an hotel.
The place they have hired the van from looks like a residential house that hasn't got enough parking for more than one at a time.
Crazy.

The start of the latest video and all the problems with previous vehicles all pointed to an incompetent driver and nervous passenger, fancy that! The rest of it was a farce as it's clearly not suitable and just another rushed decision!
