Motorhoming YouTubers worth watching.

Living the van life for us. His Arctic adventures alone are worth a look..amazing guy. Also watch Scotlands Mountains..not a camper vlogger but a hiker. He does have a small campervan he uses to get to destinations though and overnights in.

Also, in no particular order: Posh Cats, Getaway Geese, Yorkshire Motoroamers, Wandering by choice, The Slaws Adventures, Campside Warden, The Rucks, Desmonders, Ttxela, Herman hits the road. John and Mandy are now Unadventurous Mandy, and separately John.
I have looked at all mentioned by others and don’t watch all those I have listed. Also, some of those listed have other YouTube channels as well.
Some of those in the UK are a little limited to day trips and mainly food based vlogs, others were freezing in Scotland, whilst at the same time in real life have just been to the Motorhome Show😁

Jees how do you get time to do anything else if you're watching all of them lol.

I get bored with all of them . I prefer just looking at the pics posted on Instagram. I can't be doing with all the waffling

Northernraider Sadly I am ancient (compared with you) and therefore on the scrap heap😉 I exercise between 4 and 6 hours each day and 3 hours of this is light weights (6kg arm work) and on an exercise bike giving me plenty of time to watch although I don’t watch all of these. For instance I forgot Meanderingmancs who I don’t watch. Some of them have drone content, Helen and Martin and Wandering by choice for instance, and I enjoy the views.
I also watch Foxies Afloat, Robotic Crobots, Cruising the Cut, Robbie Cumming, Country House Gent, Tiller Queen (when she posts) and three Manchester United Vlogs.
Why do you think and you and Ian are so well loved? Us sad g*ts live vicariously through you!

Can't stand the travel trolls and a few others .

Northernraider Probably no more than you but unfortunately, in the UK winter, monthly indoors.
Well I probably walk 2 -3 hours a day to be fair .. well most days but that's about it .

One I have just started watching, because they did 3 months in Europe, mostly in Spain,are called ‘Bertie Bus’
They are down to earth,and live full time in there motorhome with there dogs.

They won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I find them amusing.

When I started watching, I judged the posters by my standards - of dress, appearance, vocabulary, grammar, etc…
I quickly realised my stupidity. I wouldn’t win any prizes in any of those categories and content is by far the most important factor. I would have missed a lot if I had avoided those who made me feel uncomfortable.
Dan and Mazzie (Travel Trolls) have big hearts and, when taking a walking tour give good information.
I am not keen on the (blatant) display of wealth shown by the Radfords but their visit to the gaming “palace” in Las Vegas was amazing.
I think the most obvious example is the Ex Pawers. They grow on you😁

Foresty Forest - Canadian guy who used to work shifts in a factory and build his own stealth camper sleeping in car parks. He now full times in a DIY 4WD van and travels extensively around Canada/USA with Rocko his Jack Russell doing interesting hikes and camper food (found him several years ago and still find them interesting);
Lost In Transit - another DIY van couple who travelled around Europe mainly stealth camping. Generally interesting varied locations but lost their way a bit - they jetted off hiking in Nepal which was an excellent series but at the moment they are trying out various glamping stays - waning a bit and their cooking is not to my taste (veggie);
Extreme Motorhomers - the opposite to Lost In Transit in that they travel in a luxury Carthago coachbuilt and go to exciting places (with a generous budget) x
and pretty adventurous (hikes and e-biking). Another couple I found several years back and still find interesting;
2 Passports1Dream - a couple who started food/travel vlogs but more recently returned home to the UK (well he’s Welsh and she’s Swedish but guess UK is ‘home’) and bought a DIY ready converted van. Some interesting travels and currently in Australia having rented a van out there - they’re very good on camera and keep me interested;
Reds Go Travel - travelling around in a Dethleffs A class van generally on a budget (that’s their specialism - advice on budget travelling) - she takes over a touch though;
Herman Hits The Road - Adz and Zoey on their travels and woes in their mature Hymer that’s been in need of TLC;
Gap Decaders - couple travelling full time in their converted overlander truck (but currently having a break - he’s bought another truck and converting it over the next 12 months or so). A bit different as their adventures are a bit further afield and mainly wild camping;
Vantastic Adventures - couple sometimes with their dog travelling UK and bits of Europe - quite interesting for me to see the sites and locations that interest me;
Travellers Tale - young guy in US with very nice DIY Transit. One of the better US ones seeing different sites and he fills in with some interesting history;
Kinging It - used to find them pretty good on camera and quite wacky but giving them a rest at present;
Living The Van Life - US guy used to travel around in a VW camper and some great videos in the winter/snow but since he bought an all singing all dancing 4x4 with all singing all dancing conversion I’ve not found him the same - I preferred his more simple life/videos when he had the VW and hardly watched the all singing all dancing version;
Those Happy Days - I don’t know why I watched them? I haven’t for a long time - find them insincere and so many of their videos have that overdone ‘click bait’ frame to try and entice you - not for me;
John and Mandy started off well - sold up to go full timing and went downhill - a bit full of it for me and haven’t watched in ages;
Jodie and Joe - young couple with another DIY conversion and looked like they would be on my list as they are quite engaging on video - however, they set off on a trip to Europe and I don’t know what’s happened - was expecting weekly updates but not even monthly updates ….
Andrew Ditton and his dog Dougal used to be quite informative and did some van reviews - and found one his talks at the NEC about travels to Scotland very interesting, but i think he’s currently recharging and don’t think Dougal too happy with his younger ‘replacement’ ….
Northeners on Tour - I will start watching and maybe fast forward, some interesting bits like finding the school in Coniston you can stay at for £10 ‘honest’ donation - he can probably recommend all the takeaways everywhere;
Rob and Lyn in bits is interesting but I find him too annoying so it’s a no from me.

A taster of what I spend my retirement time 😂🤣
Horses for courses and all that - loads to watch and see if you like them or not (and hopefully many more years’ retirement to explore more). Enjoy 😉……

I have followed loads over the years. But the ones that started good and interesting and to the point end up being captured by the influencer crap. Longer videos to fit ads in, sponsored crap and full of themselves.
Sadly not found a good one in ages. The last one I really enjoyed was a German lass who was called Tinie something or other. Brilliant videos and entertaining. Seems she came off the road and deleted her channel sadly.

Yes I remember her,she was really good,and visited some great places.

She bought another van and converted it herself,then just changed direction in life and packed in her channel.

I think I've seen all the reviews and bought all the gadgets I need so now more interested in inspiration for destinations. Extreme Motorhome Adventures put out consistently good quality well edited material with little or no sponsorship.Started watching and enjoying Reds Go Travels, Touring With The Kids, and Motorhoming Adventures.Wills Whereabouts and Herman Hits The Road for a bit more light entertainment.

We loved Wend yer way. https://youtube.com/@wendyerway?si=x6IEvxa8T7drSHQh
Low key and relaxed and the very opposite of pretentious. I think theyre on here and that’s how I found them. I don’t think they’re chasing views as much as recording memories but the videos and mapping are interesting and informative.

It's probably just me being a Grumpy Old Woman, but I hate the constant drone shots some of these travel youtubers use! I also won't watch videos of travellers with small kids, because basically they should just be sent by DM to their families, not broadcast to anyone on youtube. Oh and I hate those that 'find a perfect out of the way camping spot' but won't tell where it is!

It's not motorhoming and my family think I'm mad to watch his travel blogs, but I enjoy Global Treats just for the thought of what people must think when he's walking along, filming himself and talking to himself!

Bertie Bus gets my vote makes you smile ,when I first saw it I thought not for me but now I can’t wait for more of it give it a try.

I dont follow anyone so can anyone recommend youtuber(s) who dont just tell what a wonderful time they are having at fifty yo on a fat pension and nothing ever goes wrong please? Cos life like that is of no interest to me!

So we’re pretty much watching the same stuff with different opinions👍
My go to is Vancity Vanlife as I mentioned before, but imagine my surprise when I saw a thumbnail with a guy and the building a van theme, so I thought I’d give it a try, started off ok then went to his missus and youngster, she’s only the eldest daughter of a once close friend of mine who I haven’t seen for 10 years, so we watch them now but they have had time off for Xmas and a funeral. The channel is “The Whole World or Nothing” not everyone’s cup of tea but an interesting build, warts an all, they built it themselves on their parents drive, even tho her dad is a qualified sparky and a very very good all round builder, and handyman👍

Thanks that's a lovely complement. That's exactly why we do it. But also happy to include stuff that people on here would like to see or here.

Any worth following?

I've got Bob Earnshaw in my subscription list as I find his stuff interesting if a bit 'dry'. The Norherners on Tour are in there too but I find them a bit irritating at times but they have travelled extensively.

Any others that could be recommended to a none motorhome owning couple like us?

Cheers.
I've been watching Kissis Adventures as we are interested in doing The Long Road South for the first time ourselves. Then a lot of other! So far I've been to Croatia, Greece and Italy all without leaving the settee.😁 Great fun, some bits can be a bit boring, but hey they're not professionals. Generally I've found them entertaining and informative re. campsites, Aires, and kit you might need. I'm toying with the idea of a drone now 😂🤣 You can always skip the dull bits!

I used to watch Travelling Robert and his Scandanavian trip. I also like his song Riding In My RV.

Honestly, no.

The main aim is make money and the more click bait they provide the more money they make.

Take it all with a pinch of salt specially when it comes to fixing things.

I don’t think it’s a particularly easy or indeed lucrative gig making content for YouTube. I therefore try to have some empathy for the content creators… I would imagine all of them go into it believing they will be the next itchy boots or Matt Armstrong with millions of subscribers and making good money from it. The reality is very different for 99% of them. I therefore, however poor some of YouTube is, try to remember that they are making it to try to entertain me, as that is what gets them paid.
