No Quarantine in the UK from 1st July so France will probably quash theirs but you are allowed to travel through France anyway. We hope to go but the tit-for-tat quarantine may scupper us if we have to go via France . Depends on the rules when we see them
Fingers crossed for youHave taken a gamble and booked the ferry Dover/Dunkirk on 1st July. I should be in Reil same day if my God is with me. My grandmother always told me it was better to be born lucky than good looking and I was always lucky so must have been one ugly baby. Lets hope we can finally get this show on the road.
Unfortunately I think it was misinformation by the BBC, disappeared off their website 2 hours later I think they got confused with Spain. No Quarantine in the UK from 1st July so France will probably quash theirs but you are allowed to travel through France anyway.
We’ve booked the first two weeks of September off work and hoping to visit Switzerland and Germany if possible so will pop in here at some point if all still open.I can be there for a couple of nights, or more sometime during the first two weeks of sept, travel permitting!! Will anyone be there??![]()
That where we’re moseying around from 4th-19th, how you getting over there? We’ve booked the first two weeks of September off work and hoping to visit Switzerland and Germany if possible so will pop in here at some point if all still open.
Nothing booked yet but probably Newcastle or Hull ferry, checked the price last week and Hull return was coming in around £500. When we decide we’ll contact the caravan club as they’re normally around 10% cheaper, might be expensive compared to Dover but we reckon the fuel and time saved is worth it.That where we’re moseying around from 4th-19th, how you getting over there?

I’ve checked and it’s the same, around £500! I’m toying with the idea of Frequent Traveller tickets for eurotunnel, don’t know how that works, but I’m told it’s around £60 each way, factor in £50 each way for diesel it’s Nearly £300 cheaper, BUT a proper PIA getting there and back. Hull-zeebrugge is getting way expensive now, Stena from Harwich is £232 Return on day sailingsNothing booked yet but probably Newcastle or Hull ferry, checked the price last week and Hull return was coming in around £500. Yes we usually use the Newcastle Ijmuiden ferry, a bit more but when you're working it's the time saved that counts
It's only about 40 miles to the ferry for us too.

Well for another £60 or so you could get across and back with Eurotunnel buying their frequent traveller deal, and still have another 8 crossings left that you can take within a year by just paying another £12 each way for using the motorhome. No brainer for us, but then we live in Kent.I’ve just checked price for Hull to Rotterdam going out on 4/9 and returning on 19/9 with 7m MH and two adults, price came in at £475 so I’d reckon I could get it about £430/440 with CMC. Think that’s a good price and saves a lot of driving and misses out the M25
Not sure how much ET would be.
There’s just summat I don’t like about the Rotterdam route, the boat and the run in and out of Europoort! I much prefer the zeebrugge boat and the run in and out of zeebrugge port. We prefer Zeebrugge route too but the Rotterdam one leaves an hour later so handy if traffic is bad, again we often go out this way and back via Zeebrugge. There’s just summat I don’t like about the Rotterdam route, the boat and the run in and out of Europoort! ET without the frequent traveller is around £195-220 depending on the time you go and returnWith frequent traveller tickets it’s £120 Return off peak
