Morocco 2019

Not sure if you saw my last post but we're on Anza beach at agadir, no one's asked for money yet, it's 7 km outside the town , 3 or 4 cafes along side ,lovely and quiet ,

Do you have co-ords for that spot, ?

When it comes time to pay, I’d be pointing to the sign and telling them that’s why you stopped there because it was 70 have the money ready and be prepared to haggle over the rest :D

Yes we would be interested in the Anza Beach spot.........................but I suppose that's how they these spots get spoilt when we all turn up.
We want to visit Agadir (why I hear you ask) and have probably decided on the Camping International as it's so central.
The Sidi Maghoul camping at Essaouira had similar bad reviews but we stayed because of the easy access to the town (all the guardian overnight parking has been stopped) and it was manageable for one night....................preferable to parking in the streets next door

There used to be great long term beach parking all along that stretch right up to and beyond Tagazout. Then in 2015 we were all kicked off. Since then we have seen the odd motorhome parked up on these places during the day and my understanding is, this is tolerated as long as no overnight stays are taken. Saying that, you may well get away with it now especially if the areas for development have now been closed off so to speak and the plod have relaxed their vigilance. One thing is for sure someone will see the opportunity to act as a guardian so expect as a minimum a knock on the door.

All the campsites around Agadir have their issues but the central Agadir campsite is absolutely horrible, the staff are aggressive, the pitches are so tiny its not even clear where they are and the facilities are crap which btw you have to pay extra for. Its only redeeming feature is that the nightclub across the road doesnt get too loud.

If you want to visit Agadir there is a guardian parking (day only) on the beach a few hundred metres south of the campsite.

Brilliant. Are there many more Mhs there?
In a word, no, there was a french mh here yesterday , there are alot of other vehicles in the day tho as it's a great surfers beach, it's not an isolated spot, him indoors is quite happy to leave mh while we go exploring in agadir on the moto,

There's just us here at the moment, feels safe, it's a surfer beach, 4 cafes, lots of people about in the day, quiet at night

So we've arrived from ireland last night to lidl s at palmones and we think we have a WHEEL BEARING issue . Any funsters know of a decent english speaking mechanic ... would we be better to have look in Gibraltar or Algeciras ?

As soon as we are sorted we'll be hitting the ferry. Thanks in advance.

That's annoying. Probably better to get it done in Spain; it CAN be repaired in Morocco but you don't want it letting you down somewhere out of the way.

Also probably better posting on open forum separately as a request for help rather than on this thread.

Hope you get it sorted soon and join the rabble!

@Hotelman ,have you got the co,ords for the mosque car park in Marrakech pleas

A great stop to visit and escape the chaos, and then return !!!.

We always use le relais, 3rd time here this year, I’m here for a week while SWMBO flies home, again very peaceful and some nice foodie treats at the marjane just down the road (y)

@horshamjack , we still smile when we see your feedback on camper contact, (y), as we seem to stay on the same type of sites...SWMBO approves ....(n)

The traffic around the Mosque parking in Marrakesh looked to be real mayhem and not part of my holiday dreams...........................so we also stayed at Le Relais and took a taxi in.We decided to do an overnight at a Riad not far from the centre (we do miss Spooky but there are advantages, as we would never have left him overnight) and we enjoyed the nightlife in Jemma El Fna.

By the way after all the hassle in the food stalls we decided that the "posh" restaurants around the square seemed to offer the same food/price without the hassle.

We are now in Camping International in Agadir................like in Essaouira it has crap facilities but it's location don't you know.................a 2 day city break and then to a decent campsite...................... @horshamjack has posted the best locations for "the other facilities"

I can't believe the site is jam packed, with no wi fi, no hot water, one s'hitter and so many seem to be settled in here for the winter. But it will do us to cross Agadir off the list......oh yeh and the booze stock up.

Be seeing you

Correct Jone. Here's a picture of him warming his hands so you will be able to recognise him if and when you meet.
