Morocco 2018

We are toying with the idea of going, but if we do we quite like the idea of going over with an old hand to “show us the ropes” (never having been before). At the moment we have no idea when we might be in a position to go - when did you have in mind?

They don't get no older than @Portland !!!!

:xrofl::xrofl::xrofl::xrofl:

Sorry Derek.. :xwink:

Due to family commitments we will late crossing to Morocco this time and wonder if any Funsters will be going at this time who we could join up with to get the best deal from Carlos.:xsurprised::xThumb::xThumb:
To be honest and a little controversial I'm not sure about the discount, went over earlier this year on the 12.00 instead of the 10.00 and still paid €180 return

I'm not going til early feb due to circumstances.
Willing to cross with any gullible funsters around 2nd week or so as long as they can sort me a discount.

Daren
This could suit us, perhaps we get a few to cross at same time and assume they will post.

Early feb probably about right for us too, but have to think about it and look at what we would need to do (left home with no green card and we’d have to sort out the titer thing for the dog).

Derek just checked my In box and the message went .... 8 times ... oops! Sorry blame the rain ...

Dave, don't think the time of the ferry makes any difference. We've always gone as early as feasible so we don't have to rush on the other side or, as has happened, we're delayed at Customs/Immigration. In 2016 we arrived at lunchtime, prayers and the computer system broke down - took us 2 hours to clear!

Discount is dependent on the number of vans booking together; I was lead to believe min 6 vans.

Hi Terry how you doing, we went on our own end of February this year and she said €200 I said I believed it was €180 with fun she said you can go on the 12.00 (a different company) for €180 which suited us as we had yet to do a supermarket sweep on the alcohol aisle's, 3 french in front also paid €180
Cheers

Just another bit of info for people going over they where not taking cards at Carlo's cash only. Might be different now but best be prepared.

Ive always gone over on our own, first time told them I was with Fun and gave them the Fun card thats on the wall in the office they charged me €180
The second time they tried again to charge me €200 again told them was with fun €180
Then last year I had the €180 ready after an initial shake of the head and me saying last year €180 the girl smiled and got me my bottle and cake and off i trotted, I believe that was the going rate to most of the clued up.

As far as I'm aware they've only ever taken cash - but that may be, of course, for the discounted tickets.

Has anybody ever used another agent other than Carlos? There are quite a few in and around Algiceras. Surely they all have to be competitive !

Yes it was just a heads up so people new to have cash/Euro's as I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere
Cheers

Just found this thread, we are going to Morocco (first timers) around 20th Jan 18. From reading all the posts I presume Carlos does ferry tickets from Spain to Morocco and return. How do I contact him (his business) other than the email I have noted.

Hi @Dennisad, you can email the office, his daughters are very helpful or simply turn up at the office and they will sort you out.

Won't tread on his toes, but Derek (@Portland) has posted due to family commitments he can't travel until later - sure he'll notice this post and confirm. However it's not difficult. If you haven't already, look up the Morocco 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 threads. The 2015 is particularly good with loads of photos. Also have a look at my article in "Resources" which is still current and covers all you need to know. The other threads are full of ideas of where to visit.
