More Lithium Sir?. Yes that would do nicely Thank you.

More Lithium means more Solar, well not in our case...
For the past 3 month trip, our 200w Folding Panel has our performed our 200w Roof panel, of course I haven't tilted the roof panel, that's from late October to late March, Tilting is a must for us...
So how do I assess the results...well in the Spanish summer it's good to put the van in the shade and the folder in the sun...Win Win...and charge when the sun has risen or is 3 hours before setting..
During late June until about now, the sun strikes the roof panel in locations that shade isn't critical..Driving also,
I was surprised yesterday that the 30amp DC2DC charger was putting 36amp into the system whilst driving and charging 2 eBikes...29amp from the DC2DC and 6 amp from the roof solar....readings taken from Smart shunt...come Autumn the two panels will compete equally...depending if I park up in the correct orientation....not always achieved...😃🇪🇦

Any reason why a plug-in RCD couldn't be used at the Inverter socket, I'm planning to supply just 2 van sockets from this source.. I've got just one at the moment...or is it good practise to have one nearer the appliance...?
Take care with that. All the UK plug in RCDs I could find were only single pole switching so not suitable for use with many inverters which do not have single polarity.
I use an earlier version of one of these with my inverter, it has 2 pole switching.
Take care to avoid the much cheaper but similar looking one which only has single pole switching which is not safe with an inverter that doesn’t have single polarity.

We use 2 pin plugs and sockets... I'll check it out to see if what I've bought suits...if not I'll return to Amazon.es.👍🇪🇺

We have an Induction, Air fryer and a Remoska.

One mention. Our Induction was bought at IKEA. We bought it in the UK. On a trip to Spain, we checked the price there and found the Induction was far more expensive. That was surprising. We thought, being IKEA, the price would be comparable but not so.

This is what I thought might protect the inverter....plug this in at the 220v socket that powers the appliances....
Here they have to be double pole disconnection otherwise they are not legal as live can be either way around

Sounds sensible to me. The problem probably only arises in the UK where single pole switching is normal for plug in RCDs but where inverters still have 2 live wires.

You have developed some detailed practices depending on the time of year.
These are high-level considerations. You have to patent this tilting thing

tilting panels isnt always practical for everyone BUT it makes sense, especially when you have the option to tilt on two different axis.
im still waiting for some to repurpose a motorised sat dish to follow the sun (at an affordable price!)

Done - various Funsters have had a go with various projects over the years.

But the consensus seems to be - not worth the effort, cheaper to add more panels on the roof or simple manually tilt a portable one
which is why i added 'at an affordable price' - im well aware that it can be done, its the cost that concerns me .... but im sure someone somewhere will come up with a DIY option eventually ...

Eddies looks perfect, other than the price lol

Hi...well I needed to upgrade my panel a couple of years ago....so at the same time I decided to fit a simple tilt mechanism....it's been brilliant so far....and ..as we put our van door and fridge in the shade, this is how we calculate the setting or sun rising...it's not really scientific, more geographic which is what wins....
Having 2 eMTBs we need power on demand...
🤔🇪🇦🇪🇺😀

On a site last week I saw a Hymer with a motorised tilting panel that tracked the sun.
The panel was only small, under 100 watts I would say judging by the size.

Acouple of years ago i also got halfway down the design stage for a diy trackable pannel but decided it was inappropriate. Not because of cost (also too much fun) but because of space and shading. The amount of shading may not have the same effect on all instalations but on mine a movable 100W wasnt going to achieve the yield of a 330w fixed.(and negative effect of shading others). For winter purposes i converted one to tiltable.
