More Lithium Sir?. Yes that would do nicely Thank you.

which now allows me to BBQ outside using a George Foreman grill,
Sorry Dave, you cannot use the term BBQ, and a George Foreman Grill in the same sentence, cos it's not a BBQ, is it? ...... ;)

jumar. We've got the electrical cooking gear, (Remoska, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, and induction hob, along with the 2000w inverter Martin, just not the Lithiums yet, however, that is a plan in motion. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Oh yes you can Lenny, when using Lava Rock as the more environmentally friendly substitute for charcoal, with the hot rocks giving off smoke from the juices and fats, thereby flavouring the meats. And when your charcoal is eventually ready for cooking, we've cooked, eaten, and washed up. (y)

Back on topic jumar, we know someone who takes their bread maker with them when they go away in the MH.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Jock, I think a bread maker is OTT, don't you ?hope your friend isn't a Funster 🥴....we want to cook food thats bought from shops and markets....we do not want to produce or make food...if we did we could tow a trailer with hens and a goat in...🤔. Now there's an idea...🇪🇺😃😃😃😃😃😃

You mean like the Germans on there 5 month spanish run motorhome with trailer combo which then turns into a full field kitchen. 😃😃

You did Lenny and I appreciate it....what I got from Roamer was a very satisfying result. 🥳🇪🇺
We have to be careful buying from the UK, we get some horror stories of goods held up in customs and not being released until import duty is paid...Roamer do all the Clearances paperwork and we pay up front all duty and Hazardous goods paperwork...😃🇪🇺
I also chatted with Roamer once a few months back about delivering to Spain and they said that they did, the price was a bit high though.
Too bad Off-grid solutions couldn't guarantee customs clearance as Roamer do, also talked to them and were helpful, but it's too risky to buy something from UK after bre*it.
We have very poor options here about LiFePo4 for motorhomes (why?)
I finally went with the only option our dealer offered, as we still are under warranty and I wanted them to install it.
Maybe next time there are more options available.

t what about more Lithium....no space, just a moment..
Now this is poor planning.:doh:If you had arranged it better & used some foresight you could have asked your local delivery man neighbour to stick it in his van & bring it back. you know what they say"advance planning saves 2% on the cost" something like that anyway

jumar - back on topic ..

I forgot to add that when cooking (as I am not allowed to call it BBQing) outdoors using my external 240v outlet, I also use a camping type extension lead with four sockets which has RCD protection, the type that usually just plugs into the site electrics for those camping in tents - I probably don't actually need the safety aspects and I never have more than one appliance on at a time, but it gives me some peace of mind .. I'm sure a single plug in type RCD would provide the same 'assurance' if you felt you needed it.

Richard/Delivery man/ Neighbour upgrading had never crossed my mind until recently, it was always a problem finding space....and we were thinking of a van change next year...
I believe you were home before I had made the initial enquiries of a second battery...🥴🇪🇺😃

I'm thinking on the same lines...Thanks for heads up...😃🇪🇺

I thought it was Newtons Fifth Law of continuity that anyone with one lithium battery will eventually need two lithium batteries....

Always ask on here if anyone travelling if they don't mind bringing it over if you pay for battery to be delivered to their house. We will be in Spain January to March fingers crossed, loads of others travelling too.😀

Martin, assuming that you paid less than the listed £1,199 for 230ah, would you share the additional import costs, please ?
(Current thinking is that I'll get Costa Caravan Services to do mine - in a day rather than the 6 weeks it'll prob'ly take me ...)
Renogy, delivery from De, would be my DIY supplier

Yes, last December I joked about it and more here offered to bring it down here. gus-lopez and Two on Tour kindly offered, now you. Thanks🙂
After discussing with management, we decided to go with the dealer option.

Hi Peavy, I have a Roamer Lithium installed, they are expensive, but the quality and service is 100%
The customs issue is a worry and we cannot wait for delays in clearance...so I pay my taxes to them to cover everything including Dangerous Goods couriers....it's worth it...
What I've seen in Spain isn't what I needed...but Renogy in Germany have good prices, their quality gets good reviews worldwide..but a battery under the front seat is needed...very few make this type..
Martin

Old Lithuanian (Where lithium is made 🤔) saying..."Many watts make lights work"
another...."Man with many Lithium batteries, has no money in bank". 🥴🇪🇺🥳

May I ask where do you get the 320ah cells from?

I think a bread maker is OTT,
I think some take them to make their own if they have gluten intolerance as those bakery products are very expensive compared to a standard type bakery product.

It's a 3 to 4 day delivery.
If you check out thier website or contact them directly I am sure they could help you out. (y)

Thanks...I did check their products as they advertise on a Spanish website....however they didn't have the underseat style battery which I needed....that's my limitations...no other place to put a second battery...Thanks for posting..

Might a standard one fit laying on its side? Lithium's do not need to be upright.

Unfortunately not....that was another option I considered...I did spend endless hours trying different options.....and it all came back to Roamer 230ah seat box....what they offered me as a returning customer was enough to clinch it.....and as and when we change our van, they come with us....and I return everything to standard....Roamer give a 10 year guarantee.,..

Not sure about Martin's jumar Renault (must be similar), but not in a Fiat Ducato, definetelly needs to have a special measurement like this Fogstar example:
