As I'm a Lithium convert, well actually the van is...we have a great set up for travelling off grid and riding eMtbs....
But what about more Lithium....no space, just a moment...we have a huge garage...full of bikes and other outdoor stuff.
Batteries....stacked, side by side or what about...under the drivers (my) seat...
Let's look at dimensions...yes, I can fit a Roamer underseat 230ah....I'll contact them...yep...we still deliver to Spain...great...special price agreed for returning customer....battery delayed until we get home to Murcia....another 4 weeks is scheduled....
A most important factor I spoke to Lenny HB about my proposal....got clearance to proceed ....Thanks Lenny....
So I understand about Solar and recharging eBikes...DC2DC chargers..simple...Inverter...need a bigger one..will get..
But....with all this extra power and yards of Solar (Didn't I say I understand) what about electric cooking appliances.....we generally cannot cook in the van, due to it being too hot and outdoor cooking can be restricted using a Naked Flame...Fire Restricted Zones...
But an induction hob, (Got One,) at home... Airfryer ((Got One,) or Instant Pot. (Yep)...
We have an all electric apartment....🤔 Can we have an all electric MH? Well perhaps not...Fridge, Boiler and Hob all gas....as is Cadac....(That's out) next trip..
So if anyone has managed to read all this tripe and have got to the end without falling asleep or switching to a Toilet or Portuguese road toll post....can anyone provide their favourite off grid cooking appliances, must be Inverter powered...Good evening....oh. you've gone...,😃👍🤔

We've travelled your journey and still travelling. Latest addition was an outside 240v socket, which now allows me to BBQ outside using a George Foreman grill, induction hob and table top pizza oven all outside (we also have air fryer, toaster kettle all 240v, but you specifically mentioned re BBQ)

I also connected the water heater to be fed from the inverter (Renogy inverter allows pass through for EHU), so although not fully electric, if properly managed (and with some good solar) our gas use off grid is restricted to the fridge (and sometimes hot water - though we get enough from the kettle for washing up)

We have air fryer, induction hob, toaster, tepenyaki, slow cooker, fridge/freezer, Alde, aircon all powered through our multiplus II but obviously not all at once.

it’s bloody brilliant 👍
I'm quite conversant with most forms of martial arts...but please enlighten me.
What's Tepenyaki...?🤔

It's an Ikayne Pet (backwards). Didn't they have one on your fire station when you joined ..

Wheeled escapes, though they were being phased out, hook ladders ....!! Real old school and 'character building' - thankfully before my time! Apologies to the OP!!

Have air fryer, Remoska and an electric griddle type thing that does a pretty good job.

Had gas in our van but as usual Dometic oven was shite, normally double or treble the normal cooking times, Remoska sorts that out though😁😁

Accepted...but I put my cross in the box in 1970 and being a Climber/ Mountaineer the draw was Hook Ladders or anything big and dangerous....🥴

If you haven't been to a Teppenyaki restaurant you should, it's very entertaining, the chef stands on one side of the grill plate, the diners sit on the three other sides, the chef juggles with the cooking utensils whilst cooking and presenting each course beautifully. It's worth trying at least once. Have a look on YouTube.

Air fryer is our go to when it's hot out and you would like meat/fish and salad or the remoska when it's a cold day and you want a stew.

Induction hob is great outside, electric kettle will gobble up some of those spare watts as well, air fryer OK but we don’t use it as much as the induction.

We bought a Teriyaki XL Grill at Malvern last week, bargain. We have a 240v socket inside the cab door that can plug into, the fly screen will allow that. Fancy Bo-Camp camping table also bought, so the Teriyaki will sit atop that to cook outside. When on EHU. When not, gas external tap for Cadac on said table.

The teriyaki will get christened at a big birthday trip next week when we do Diddly Squat to celebrate, farm produce on it for brekkie each morning.

At a point in time once our current gel batteries become life expired will put mega lithium in. We have an area in the garage where the 2 current batteries sit quite happily.

Having met Ash from VanBitz at Malvern, an inverter for charging the e-bikes on the move will be added when we visit for other bits to be fitted next month.

So the moral of this post is don't go to Funster events at shows expecting not to buy stuff, it ain't going to happen   :ROFLMAO:

Don't you find the air fryer burns the salad?🤣🤣

I still have two gels, but manage with electric kettle, toaster and remoska on a 1000w Renogy inverter, not all at once mind…😎
Yes but you spend most of your time at other people's parties that you've only just met.... Lol 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
PS re our conversation about starlink in Morocco, as RogerIvy used his in Australia I assume North Africa would be ok, perhaps worth asking on a different thread?

I presume nobody told you a 280 ah fogstar currently on sale for 680 English notes fits under a seat (ducato) and they lied about the amps. It's actually 304 ah we got.

(You have to have it on its side)
I enquired about one from them.... don't deliver to Mainland Spain was their reply...
Roamer do.🤔

Off grid sell them as well with a Funster discount and I think they will deliver, I did tell you.
You did Lenny and I appreciate it....what I got from Roamer was a very satisfying result. 🥳🇪🇺
We have to be careful buying from the UK, we get some horror stories of goods held up in customs and not being released until import duty is paid...Roamer do all the Clearances paperwork and we pay up front all duty and Hazardous goods paperwork...😃🇪🇺

I think one such restaurant has opened this summer on our resort in Murcia. We may have to try it when we get back at the end of September.
