MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

Why so arrogant with your refusal to move for other people Oh Please!? Is it really such a chore? You seem to go through life saying why me? Why am I so lonely? Maybe just give a little? Is it so hard to move a bit? The last time you said no, I am not moving you, moved the next day anyway? Give a little, get lot.
What was your previous username? Come on, tell us

Welcome, just jump in with two left feet why don't you.

Not at all..been following Tam's thread for a while. Love his travelling ethos but always seems to be his way or no way. Likes to receive but not to give. Would it it be so hard to move to another bit of a parking area to allow friends to gather together? I am here first so I am not moving ( all right 12 hours from now I will be on my way and it will.make no difference in my life whatsoever)...I will remember the time I was stubborn but someone else will remember the time I didn't do them a very very small favour? Hope I don't ever camp next to you... you seem very small minded and insular.
That’s quick you only joined 20min ago, it seems to me you have an axe to grind and my advise go els were to grind it,

Easy to ignore him.

I tend to feel the same as Tam. So many times, people who want to be together arrive late and expect everyone else to accommodate them, why? If it was important to them that they were together, they should get there earlier in the day so they can be. That’s not hard to do if that’s what you want. Why arrive when it’s dark as Tam said and then expect them to move. Nah

Naw, different strokes for different folks. Seems to thrive on being confrontational. Honestly, give me a good genuine reason why you won't move and extend the arm of friendship to help other people? Genuinely interested?
You obviously don't Tam and never come across arrogant Germans who expect the world to move for them.

There's no shortage of park ups in Greece, most of them I've been the only van there and I was again today. Can see from my drone shot just how much space there is around me . But they want as close to the beach as they can get. And risk having us all moved if a local objects to the fire etc.

And our little beach parkup for last night. Quiet night and a relaxing day today with dogs on the beach and catching up on some laundry so I have clean clothes for the new year View attachment 850144View attachment 850145View attachment 850146View attachment 850147View attachment 850148View attachment 850149View attachment 850150View attachment 850151View attachment 850152

I guarantee there's a German at the end of these tracks View attachment 850153

You couldn't get a more chilled dog than ela .... she just spends the day wandering around sniffing at stuff in a world of her own lol. Then collapses in a heap till its time to eat

Obviously German parked next to Northern raider😂

its as well those rear bearings were sorted Tam, you really would have need a change of shreddies! :whistle2: :whistle2:
Aye , I initially thought I'd popped a rear cylinder as the brakes just went completely, full to the floor and nowt happening. But I used the handbrake and dropped it in to 1st gear and slowly lifted clutch ...that slowed me down enough to avoid the pick up parked on the road and the telegraph pole lol. But I did crap it a little. Can't see any leaks and the reservoir hasn't dropped so I think it's just overheated the fluid. I'll be taking it easy on the brakes from now on though. And I'll get the fluid changed in Turkey. Plan to get the old boy an oil and filters change done there anyway.

It's a sod as I was just thinking today as I plodded through all the wee mountain villages how well the van was going ... he's a bit slow up the hills but otherwise he's been coping well.

He/she/they have now started a thread bleating about being kicked off a thread for asking a genuine question. I doubt they will be on the forum much longer
Ah well good luck to them .

I think I already explained pretty well why I didn't move.

Had it been daylight, I hadn't closed all the cab curtains etc , dogs weren't asleep on the front seats , I didn't have a pan on the hob with tatties cooking and stuff everywhere as I was making dinner I'd probably have moved over a bit. But from what I gather they didn't want me to move over they wanted me to reverse back to let them park their 3 vans in front of me blocking the view of the beach etc so they could sit outside their vans and have a fire on the beach.

It's pretty Entitled in my opinion and very cheeky.

To then come back a second time and say she'd help to move my things etc is just astounding.

I'm no shrinking violet but I have never been that cheeky.

Had that happen years ago with a Renault 5 with the brakes binding and vaporising the fuid. Furious pumping of the pedal helped a bit.

Same happened to me last year descending the Pyrenees with a seized handbrake - might be an idea to check for melted grease on the wheel bearings (y)

Is yours also an iveco chassis or the fiat ducato?

This doesn't have grease on the rear bearings, it has the same gear oil as the rear diff.

From Google though it seems to be a common thing on the ivecos, but there's a good chance this has never had a brake fluid change so that wouldn't help.
