MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

I’m surprised you Northernraider are talking about going back to Morocco after you saying you didn’t like the people or the place , 25 years ago I did an off road motorcycle adventure in all of Morocco , really enjoyed the people & places , now hoping to take MoHo there in the next few years
I need a respray 🤷 so I will endure it for the cheap labour 🤣🤣

Besides everyone keeps telling me I'm wrong ...so I will give it a second try like I did with benidorm.

It's also the only option for out of shengen time if I go to Spain over winter.

Yeah Tam, lennys right, last time Noah was up that way it was peeing it down, but he managed it😉😁😁😁
Not that I believe in any of that religious mumbo jumbo but ...surely the rain was happening when the ark started to float.. but by the time it was grounded on a bloody mountain the rain had stopped and the sun was oot.

Ridiculous story though and the archaeologists state there was no evidence of any flood like that in history ... not wanting to upset the religious folk they then said...there may have been some localised flooding 🤣🤣

Turkey respray ? £1000 Northernraider

Yeah sod that though ..they have to leave the van for 2 weeks. The morrocans, do all the prep while you're living in it .. park up free at their place..

Apart from a few bits of dust & a bit scaggy around the gas filler it's pretty good for the money. The repairs they did looked good.
Garage tafroute... seem to do a good job. They did the whole underside of a friend's for 400 and then a full respray for 800 euros...so 1200 in total

Tam I know Blu is Greek but thought she needed to Titre tested before returning to the eu from Turkey, have I got that wrong?
Supposed to

But from what I've heard from everyone coming in to Turkey they never check.

Also when I leave I'm going to Bulgaria not Greece so probably less likely

I went to the old city of Ani today. Again we drove through lots of snow to get there . ....ani sits right on the border with Armenia, if you look closely in some of the pics you will see the border fence and the watchtowers in the background. . The canyon acts as a natural border. Lit of military security checks again both on the drive there and on the 4 hour drive west afterwards . . I took some drone shots too but I'll upload those later

After Ani I headed north and west ....through a mountain pass which was unreal , at one point we were at 2470metres , the snow was 2 metres high on the side of the road , visibility was non existent, my wipers were frozen I had to stop to clean them off , the road was icy steep and windy ...not the most pleasant drive I have to say and yet again my brakes are playing up, I think I may cross the border in to Georgia on Thursday ... and I might just get the van serviced there instead and have the brake fluid changed too.

Yeah I'm not sure I'd do much of the coast next time...or I'd skip a lot of it as I preferred the inland areas but all being well I'd like to get the camper repainted in Tafroute. But I'll likely aim to go just after Christmas next time too.
See you there then! Definitely going back to Tafraoute and leaving start of January. Will definitely be back on the coast too though.

Some parts of the coast I liked but there was a lot I didn't like. Might explore more of the coast on the med side

I wouldn't come this far east again ...but while I'm here I may aswell explore it. Plenty time for sunshine later.

Yeah… while your there I guess, looks like your friends would be glad to see you too on the journey, a bit of company for them too in a remote area and moral support for each other…😊

Love the history lesson as I never realised it was so varied, brilliant pics. Drive safely and glad you have company again.

Last nights location ...had a kangal come visit this morning , lovely dog but very skinny , I gave him some Breakfast but I think he just really wanted attention and a pet. My camper is seriously needing a wash .
