I assume someone suggested waiting for the tide to change.

Sorry to hear that... I've had to pull out of meet as well...

Is it not possible to wait until the tide rises and get on the ferry then... the ramp angle will be less severe as the tide fills..
Andy.

Hi guys, we've tried twice today the last time at almost high water, it wasn't just a touch - we've left our mark on the slipway! Staff were brilliant & tried their best, it's our 1st trip out with the towbar on, I need to do some modifications on it when I get home, we're really sorry to miss this meet ?

Our day didn't get any better, we needed water & a toilet empty, tried to get in at 2 certified sites (C&CC), 2 certified locations (C&MC) & 3 full blown campsites - got a no from all of them! We asked at 1 of the C& CC sites if we could pay & use their facilities but was told no, it was against the rules (n)so currently parked up near loch lomond, bound for the Slanj tomorrow.

At least there aren't any midges (are there?!)

Bbq sounds Brill!!

No brollies needed yet, it’s both sunny and windy but using @wizzer59 van as a shield for a while.

The sea trials of the kayacat have now started, a large judging panel was assembled and the intrepid test pilots were briefed and then took turns in braving the Millport bay.

To avoid it getting wet (rain) we have now packed it all away, but it was judged a success and weather dependent may be launched again.

Basically, we had a play in the water and a group of funsters had a laugh, the seals were intrigued though.
