Mercedes vario 814 self build bus to FLT palace

I like having the kitchen sink and worktop area next to the cooker. Makes things easier and keeps the mess in one area.

I looked at moving the shoilet across to where the fridge/cooker are but I'm not sure if there will be space until Tam gives me the measurements, or whether he'd like it that way, this would then allow for a large kitchen run though.

Oh! A door into the back! I forgot you were blocking off in the first place! Couldn’t you just have a curtain?
Nah i want a wooden bulkhead..if i go that route it will be a 25mm thick sandwich insulated sliding door . Keeps the back warmer and no condensation in cab

I've just had a play and if you move one of the sofas so create an 'L' lounge you gain a cupboard at the end (could be extended to the wood burner side to give a table or more storage space, it will have a much more comfortable day time sprawling space.

Nice but i need access in to the garage area from inside as when the motorbike is on i won't get in there from outside

Ill also have 2 tables that can drop down between sofas to create a u lounge or a second bed

I want the shower there for a couple of reasons
1) its directly above the waste tank
2) provides half the bulkhead
3 ) doesn't restrict view of the kitchen or door from the sofa or bed
4) i prefer the fridge to be near the door so i can open it from outside.
5) cooker next to woodburner as top of woodburner will be same height as hob ...when burner is on ill use that for kettle etc
6) woodburner close to the Lounge and bed so i get the heat where i am ...and can see it ...nothing nicer than a real fire

Just a thought re your passenger seating ie. double/single.
Have you taken the dogs for a drive where Milo has the choice of traveling front or rear?
My old Beardie Nell absolutely DID NOT want to travel where she could see on-coming traffic /changing horizon. She loved being in tbe moho, (or any otber vehicle) but wanted to travel at floor level in tbe back.
Maybe as Milo has become accustomed to traveling in tbe back he may actually prefer it.
It might be worth a trial run, maybe with only one of the dogs present or Jade temporarily anchored in the back?

You could use a narrow transporter double and still have room for a passage way? I rekon a Vario is at least 2ft wider than a transporter!!!

Cheers James

I did try him once but jade claims the seat lol. At his size he could never see out the windows anyway but i might try him in the front seat of car sometime and see how he gets on . I think he would just prefer to be closer to me so he can get a wee pet now and then when bumpy roads etc as thats when he gets nervous

Yeah a t4 double seat is a possibility as they also fold ...its getting one that might prove difficult...that said it doesn't have to be a front one a rear one would do as the floor has to get remade anyway so its just the width to clear gearstick i need. Once the step and cab floor is done ill have measurements to go on

I think Tam has given a fair amount of thought into his proposed layout.
He has his reasons as to why what is going where.
Yep i have ..some input is always helpful and as i said might change it again before im actually at that stage but this layout more practical than last one

Another thought that occurs to me is that I believe here in Spain it is illegal to have a pet traveling in tbe front seat of a vehicle.
I don't know if that is factual but it might be worth checking as it could possibly apply to all EU countries if it is.q

Jade has always travelled in the front. Im sure if they are harnessed its ok

I have sold and fitted stoves for 30 years, I wouldn't even think of fitting one to a MH - the area is too small even in the largest MH - CO, particulates, proximity to combustible materials - all 'proper' stoves on general sale are too big for a MH - might seem to be 'a good idea' - it's not !! it's really dangerous !!

Ah! Maybe that solves the mystery behind all the “gassing” threads :ROFLMAO:

Not really - CO kills ! ........... be very careful fitting a woodburner in any small space....
