Calais ? You mean you got lost ???

Going on the train Brian, after the last Santander trip hubby said never again, so the train it is:thumb::thumb:

Gerald why never again for Biarritz?

We were hoping for somewhere that area

Gerald why never again for Biarritz?

€10 a night, scruffy and very busy. It's also a cut through for the local 'erberts on their mopeds ("beeeeep" "beeeeeep" etc) and in their souped-up old bangers. You do get hookup (if you're early).

A few km to the north, there is Anglet - free, a view of the sea from the end of the aire, secure, and space to choose a good pitch. And a lovely walk from the end of the aire, down to the sea front, and along the promenade. Lovely bars / restaurants, bread shop 10 minutes' walk.

We stayed there for many days last Spring.

Gerald

I note that you are somewhat reticent to disclose the number of the plot that you occupy !!
Would that be in case you don't want to be sociable with the vino tinto (I prefer vino blanco by the way!) to the huddled masses of funsters with a raging thirst !!:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

lancer is on plot b1,walked over and spoke with him yesterday, nice guy:thumb:

Well I tried a different approach this morning...

Knocks on the door and say`s ... Goodunmoaning,,,,, I`m old Mo.... Got a drink for me and make it a Bitte.... :thumb:

And I`ll give you a bit of my Landjäger, I was stood there with it in my hand...

And she just screamed and slammed the door...

So I give up with your friendly Germans... I`ll stick with the Brits.. Thankyou.. :thumb:

Just a thought, but, could how we feel about how far apart we are etc.be influenced by whether we are at Marjal because there is a Funsters Meet,or,whether we are attending a Funsters Meet because we are in Marjal
We have never stayed on this sort of site before (Butlins with Wheels) and probably never would if it wasn't for the Meet-we hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Mike.

Blimey, this is spooky, I have got Jim the same thing as last year....

I think we've got some of that on board our van too. That's lucky!

whether we are at Marjal because there is a Funsters Meet,or,whether we are attending a Funsters Meet because we are in Marjal

We're using the meet as an excuse to try the area again. And to meet up with some nice people. Anyone know of any?

We are, Mike. We're more of your 'hopping from aire to aire' kind of people. My brothers are caravanners, and will go somewhere and sit for day after day. Having said that, we're enjoying the walking, cycling, using the swimming pool, etc etc. We're thinking of coming again next year (especially now it's stopped raining )

Will leave the studio within the hour and head for Marjal via Madrid...

Solex is on the back of the Hymer...

Things on the list will be checked when I can find the list...

Then, cut my hair, shower and off (via supermarket)... (I assume Spanish supermarkets are closed on Sundays...)

My head hurts...

Am planning to report in from near the Spanish border... was going to avoid the motorway they have just made into a toll road but can't be bothered... use it now... pay for it later...

JJ
