Not all in C section, no big pitches for us so we have been stuck in A section all on our lonesome and sorrounded by Germany.

The original Billy No Mates except I have only got one GEeeeeerman alongside me...

They originally gave us a premium pitch across from you but the back end of the bus stuck out into the middle of the road. Never mind will put up the flag and barricades tomorrow.

Frreeeezin here this morning. Been sat outside the van working for a couple of hours and my fingers and toes are frost-bitten. The sun is on the move and just about to show itself, about time too:Cool:

A tip for you Jim, stay in bed till the sun comes out then you wont be cold ha! ha! love Amanda x

Trying to adapt to "onsite" motor homing as best as I can...

Plugged my electric in and laid out the cable carefully...

Didn't want to disturb my neighbours by running the Solex so I got a test driver to do it...

Watched carefully to learn how to level a van...

and learnt the approved Funster method of supervising a fridge repair...

You will have to ask me privately about the last photo to save embarrassment to a fellow Funster...

JJ

Not so.

The funsters are less than 5 minutes' walk from the entertainment / shops / bar etc. Our pitch for next year is about 5 seconds closer :thumb:

The fact that it's a long way from the beach is an advantage to us

All in all, we think it's a great site - lots for everyone. Today, we have cycled, been to the gym, swam, visited the spa, had a Spanish lesson, and tonight we're going to be quizzing. Tomorrow - more of the same

Gerald

We werent far behind you, lol
in the quiz that is.

nice that ivy, stuart, brisey and pam won some money though, although they didnt go to the bar to share it afterwards.

Is it warm then folks?

Its freezing sat outside the van right now, but a nice day beckons and the sun will be up soon. A group of funsters are walking and cycling to a market in Catral today (about 1.5m away) Then we'll all be meeting in the village square at midday for a beer or a coffee. If I can find somewhere to watch the rugby, I may stay in Catral, otherwise we'll be back to the campsite, with the TV outside and cheer Italy on with a San Miguel. :thumb:

Sounds a nice way to spend the day.

Hope you don't enjoy the rugby:BigGrin:

These wretched Funster meets...

Ten past seven (proper time) and I am up... :Eek!:

The sun is shining through the window...

A bunch of energetic, friendly and happy people will be making their way to a "market"...

Bet the "market" doesn't sell any bangers or pies...

Looks like I better go with them or be called a miserable old "sour puss"...

Thank goodness I brought the Solex so I won't have to pedal... :thumb:

We have used up all the smuggled sausages and bacon so are now at the mercy of the Spanish supermarkets:Doh:

When I picked up the hire car from the airport I hadn't had it 5 mind and backed it into a great big concreat pillar,I was looking in the left mirror when I should have been looking in the right mirror With a £600 excess on my insurance it was cheaper to repair myself:thumb:

For your information, it is now official that Crevillente's town council will develop a cycling paths network connecting our site with the town center, El Hondo Nature Park, the village of San Felipe, el Realengo and Crevillente's train station. It will be 17,5 km and it will be properly signaled. http://www.elperiodic.com/crevillent/noticias/163505_ayuntamiento-enlazara-casco-urbano-pedanias-parque-natural-hondo-traves-circuito-cicloturista.html

I guess it will be ready after the summer

Hoping you are all having a great time here

Raimon

That's excellent, Raimon. Thanks for the information.

We are having an splendid time here, thank you!

Well if you want an honest answer, a lot of people have said, terrific site, pity about the location.

We came from Cap Blanch, by your standards crude, few facilities, rough pitches. But poke your head our of the door and there is the blue Med a feast to the eyes, easy cycling to shops, bars. Excitement.

But we are having a good time, because we have good company, and of course your generous introductory deal helps a lot.
