@Carol you pair are stars thank you for the very warm welcome.
@Ambilkate a huge thank you for convincing us to fetch the mh for the night and making our first rally amazing even though it was only one night.
You have given us the confidence to do more rallies and to go more off grid and use the mh properly.
You have put on a fantastic rally which all who attended have really loved it.
It was great meeting yourself, bill and amanda I think us and amanda really got on due to the 3 of us being around the same age.
Can't wait to meet up again sooner rather than later.
And last but not least.
@old-mo
You,judith and daisy were super hosts for what is a great location. You and Judith should be really proud of what you have achieved so far at Weston Croft.
We will be back very soon.

Enjoy the rest of the rally and spare a thought for me sat behind my desk tomorrow.

In the Treasure hunt, there were a couple of questions that could have different answers: both were allowed.

Between the 13 solar panels and the right turn onto the A road, you passed 2 houses with the number 5. I was looking for the one with the serpent ( or Loch Ness monster) on the lawn, but also allowed the other one which had window boxes.

The Parish meeting notice stated that it was held on Monday 24th April 2018, but as the 4th Monday was 23rd April, not 24th, and the notice at the village hall stated that meetings were held on 4th Monday, both were allowed. The notice also referred to the previous year’s meeting on Monday 23rd April 2017, but that meeting was held on Monday 24th April 2017, according to their website, so clearly the Haughton Clerk was trained in Dibly!

I also allowed sightings of Toads at 2 different houses, though one was just a funny shaped rock!

I won’t be so lenient next time!:D

And they partied and they partied well after dark like"funsters"

can and only do... :clap2:(y)

Great Barbie, great Bingo and great raffle....

Fantastic night with FANTASTIC people... :lips::lips::lips:

:thanks3:

But Chris - one man’s ‘funny shaped Rock’ is another man’s concrete toad! Thanks for taking the trouble to compile the treasure hunt, and to go back and check out our dubious toad... :)

Bloody hell it's cold here, @Munchie put his Jim jams and his lycra underpants on.

Great night, bloody poor fire pit took over 4 hours to cook a sausage

We’ve had a great time at @old-mo ’s. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. Especially Mo and Judy, @Ambilkate , @Jaws , @Carol , and all the friends, new and old, that made us feel part of the Funsters Family. We look forward to meeting up with many of you again at Retro Festival, Newark.

Chris & Alice

Back home now after the most enjoyable rally we've ever been on. Met some lovely people and had a totally brilliant time. A huge thank you to @Ambilkate Bill and Kate, @Carol Carol and Eddie, @old-mo Maurice and Judy and all you other wonderful Funsters who made it all happen.
Please note that from now on (well as soon as I find out how to do it) my forum name will be The DudeSS 'cos I'm fed up of people thinking I'm a bloke. I'm a laydee don't you know and my husband will vouch for me. :D(y)

Just arrived back, mostly easy journey south. Many thanks to all the organisers and helpers but especially Bill and Kate @Ambilkate who were tireless(y). It's a lovely site well situated, facilities work really well, we shall definitley be back at some point. The Rally was a good size just big enough that you could hide when you wanted but plenty going on when wanted to join in.

Sorry to have missed the marquee erection, subsequent move and dismantling just bad timing on our part

A special thanks to the team who lent their weight to the back of our van and especially the use of the bread crates @The Dude , the fiamma yellow ones are heading towards a recycling centre I promise!

I assume this name change has nothing to do with a certain other thread currently running on the forum.

We are home now. A really easy 3 hour journey, considering it is bank holiday. I’m still laughing out loud occasionally when I think of the Bingo last night, “more than 11” and Amanda’s “quack quack bang”! You had to be there to know what I’m talking about

Thought I better mention the garden was mo's, just in case someone might get the wrong impression and phone the boys in blue :whew: :giggler:

Maypole meet, my ar$e ... there wasn't one and we were all ready for a bit of prancing around the pole ... never mind every thing else and everyone were great, all culminating with sitting around a fire in the dark & a ceremonial burning of @old-mo's joke book.
Thanks to all the Funsters and particularly Mo & Judy for the splendid venue along with @Ambilkate, Kate, Bill and Amanda along with Carol & Ed for organising .. It was great.
