Rally Chat Lymington Seafood Festival, Golf, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Isle Of Wight (& More!) Rally August 2018

A34 blocked at Winchester. Delay 1hr so far. Expect long delays. 4 miles from M3 and stationary.

Quite a lot of water on the road at Beaulieu due to localised flooding if you are coming that route, it's fine but traffic taking turns.

Also lots of damp ponies in the road , not a phrase I ever expected to use.

Well it did stop raining for 10 minutes! Not started on the wine yet but it won’t be long :)

Our first sight after we were pitched was a deer passing our van about 15 feet away, they ran off after finding all these strange vans in his field disappearing in to the hedge.

Dare I ask how the entrance is ? The rain here is biblical I've got to cycle home in it the quick shower. And I'm on my way see ya soon ish

Youve been here before Paul:LOL:, it got very muddy so vans are being routed ac ross the grass which is fine

Do t know if it’s been posted but a top tip from @Debs for getting into Lymington, get the train from Lymington Pier where the ferry terminal is and £2.90 gets you a return ticket, 3 mins before the hour and half hour and return 20 past or 10 to.

Well it’s peeing down again so that’s appropriate @scousebird :)

Thanks so much to all the Marshall’s/ organizers who have been out in it all day and made sure we are safely parked etc. It’s always appreciated but especially on a day like today.

As above, our thanks go to the Marshalls still working in the rain, as we are enjoying a glass or two.

The farmers wife has been for a chat, she wants to let everyone know that there are pick your own blueberries on the farm (looked fab by the way) .

To get to the Blueberry field go gown the lane &-through the gate opposite, up alongside the pollytunnels, the field is at the top.

Details of prices are up there & theres an honesty box

Well I was hoping for sympathy when I turned up as we have raced around all day and still not sure if my arse is punch- bored or countersunk. We disembarked Queen Elizabeth at 09.20 this morning and the private mini-bus firm I booked to get me home decided to turn up in a Merc-Benz 220 S having conveniently forgotten that we are 4 adults with eight cases and hand luggage. 30 minutes later we were home for the same cost but in two cars.

Arrived here just in time to see Phil @Taran_Las complete magnificent triple-salko on the mud and only scored a 6.8 for artistic input.

Already seen many old mates but bitterly dissapointed to learn that @swanseajack13 was a no-show, meeting your Mrs Ray is always a highlight for us two, you know that.

Pit stop at the dog friendly Ferryman... pint of Romsey Gold £4  Southern prices!

Got as far as the railway crossing...

Normal service resumed, all's well with [my bit of] the world...
