UPDATE
:
With this hot weather, dry grass, two vehicle fires  in the next field at Upton Blues Festival last week & all those in the news several Funsters have expressed concern & suggested that we should all take extra fire precautions at Lymington. Some suggestions from members so far are:
Check your fire extinguisher in your motorhome isn't past it's expiry date - it's amazing how time flies!
Sure most will also have a fire blanket & fitted smoke detector but worth checking the battery now if you haven't recently.
Keep a bucket (any type will do) full of water outside your motorhome.
Anyone smoking cigarettes (or similar) to put them out in an ashtray or similar with water added to ensure they are not dropped on the ground & are fully extinguished.
No charcoal, wood or disposable BBQ or any others using liquid fuel & no fire pits or similar.

If the weather continues to be dry then all the above are good practise.

Please note that BBQs (as above) are now not allowed due to the ground conditions in the Rally Field at Lymington. Gas Cadac cookers or similar are ok well off the ground but please take extra care & maybe have your fire extinguisher in easy reach!

Not staying at the rally but can I visit the bring and buy,If so which would be the best day

Thank you will do as you say.

For all attending :hi: please see the first post on this thread https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...-isle-of-wight-more-rally-august-2018.161595/ which has been kept updated & anything important will be added as necessary. Our mobile contact number will be emailed to everyone along with arrival instructions a bit closer to the Rally start date in case you need to get hold of us once there.
Maybe post on the different linked threads if you might want to try the crazy golf, spa etc & see who else is interested. There's a lot of options available & up to you how much you make of them but if you just want to do your own thing or relax with the company of members nearby then that's fine too.

Plenty of places to top up with food in Lymington or buy treats Broken Link Removed
Closest to the Rally field is a Tesco Metro at the bottom of the town then there's a M&S Simply Food towards the top of the high street & a Waitrose a bit further on but still in walking distance - all open 7 days a week.
Tesco Metro https://www.tesco.com/store-locator/uk/?bID=2845
M&S Simply Food https://www.marksandspencer.com/MSStoreDetailsView?storeId=10151&langId=-24&SAPStoreId=3939
Waitrose https://www.waitrose.com/shop/BranchFinderSearch?postCodeValue=lymington
Lots of small shops too including Jennings Bakery opposite Waitrose & Greggs in the High Street.

Going to bring a Mirror with me for a Series 2 cab Ducatto/Boxer/etc. Passenger side.
Tiz a short arm, so only good for a PCV type, but, I expect with a bit of "can do spirit" it can be swopped on to a long arm stalk. Free to a good home.

PLEA TO THOSE ATTENDING LYMINGTON
BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS PLEASE!!!

Mary and I will be having a book sale during the Event in aid of Prostate Cancer UK

We always need/require clean, (the condition, not necessarily the contents:eek:) paperbacks, for us to continue to raise funds for this oh! so vital Charity.
So, please have a look at home before you leave and clear those bookshelves!

We also have a stock of Prostate Cancer UK Pin Badges, Wristbands and a stock of March for Men T shirts, (We stock sizes up to
3XL!!!) for those Funsters with, how shall we say? the Fuller figure.

We keep getting last minute requests for this places on this Rally but booking closed now - hopefully this will be one to consider for next year?! If it does go ahead it will be limited places & booking will open early.

Don't know about a bigger table.
I might need a bigger 'Van!
The 'Van went for it's MOT today. The Tester said,"Your back end's heavy." I thought, "Cheeky Sod!"
Then I remembered, It's got all the 'Stuff' in it for Lymington and then Pershore.
I reckon I'll have to travel without water.

:hi: Please see your email for important arrival & payment info. for this Rally that has just been sent. Any queries just ask. It would be helpful to us if as many as possible coming could pay the outstanding balance in advance of arrival as directed in the email or with so many coming we will have to spend all Friday evening opening envelopes instead of chatting to Funsters! Having only basic facilities we only thought a few would come when we originally planned this :roflmto:

Also a reminder to see info. on first post of this thread https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...-isle-of-wight-more-rally-august-2018.161595/ which is kept updated.
