Hi - will send you a PM :)

Have asked the organisers of the Seafood Festival if any of their stallholders or local traders would like to offer Fun & RVOC members a discount or special offer - with around 200 of us & many staying for 5 nights it's worth a try!

********************* Newsflash! *****************
As we have high numbers attending both this & the Stratford River Festival https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...29-june-2-july-full-reserve-list-open.156238/ rallies we are looking for some extra marshals to join our merry group - no experience needed just have a positive attitude & be able to work as part of a team :hi5:
You would need to arrive the day before each rally to get pitched & have a quick run through of facilities & plan for arrivals the next day. In return for a free place at the rally you would only need to help on Friday then after that your weekend at Stratford or the rest of your week at Lymington is your own to enjoy all the Festival & the local area. Please post here if or PM us to let us know you are interested & we can give you more info. & discuss further.
We welcome contact from those already booked for Stratford & Lymington & also Funsters who aren't :hi:

A big :thanks3: to all who have messaged on the threads or sent a PM offering to marshal or just step in & help if needed - it is much appreciated. We are fortunate to now have a full complement of marshals for both this rally & Stratford River Festival rally again plus a list of reserves but please still let us know if you might want to help out at future rallies &/or come & have a chat anytime other than arrivals day!

The Sea Wall Walk & Nature Reserve

"Just a ten minute stroll from the town centre and a few hundred yards from the festival site is the sea wall walk across the salt marshes towards Keyhaven. Starting from the Yacht Haven, this flat and accessible walk quickly has you blown away by spectacular sea views on all sides, as well as a fine look at the Isle of Wight on a clear day."

The Sea Water Baths

"Situated just a few metres from our festival site at Bath Road are the Lymington Seawater Baths. As the oldest open air sea water baths in the UK, the Lido really is quite a feature, especially since having installed an inflatable obstacle course for young and old alike! As well as swimming, splashing and clambering, the Lido also offers a safe enclosed environment for paddle-boarding. Perfect to practice those turns before heading out on Broken Link Removed!"

This is the charity that the Seafood Festival is supporting this year https://www.sail4cancer.org/ There will be a raffle to raise funds.
"Sail 4 Cancer - The Sailing Charity
Sail 4 Cancer was set up in 2001 by a group of keen sailors who had all lost a close friend or relative to cancer.

Sail 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of water based respite days and holidays for families affected by cancer. The charity also makes grants to cancer care centres and supports research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. sailing) and how it can help prevent cancer and aid recovery post diagnosis.

From the moment you are diagnosed with cancer your life is taken over by hospital visits, treatments, tests, uncertainty, and often, financial worries. For a day or a week, Sail 4 Cancer takes cancer patients and their families away from the disease and the nightmare that they are living through and offers them the chance to rebuild relationships, create positive memories and have some quality fun time together."

Yes - list & details amended :) If it rains then that's just liquid sunshine! :roflmto:

We cycled the sea wall trail to key haven from lymington last week, easy cycling along as not windy we will probably do it again from the rally site. The views across to the Isle of Wight are really good. From the ferry port to key haven and back is 11 miles.

Correct for me
