Cant find the main keys for my Fiat Adria , had them yesterday morning , now they are missing , not in my house , car or anywhere I have been between 9am when I had the keys and 1pm when I could not find them now freaking out ?????????

I have been in a state last few days since my van hit fights with family about it ?? seems thay are blaming me for everything ,, Im worried I will get another heart attack , or tip into another horrible depression , im losing my temper every 5 minutes and feel like smashing every thing all the time

all I want is for it to go away and be on my own

Good advice ... they will turn up in one of the most unlikely places

I lost my expensive sunglasses, looked bloody everywhere.. gave up.. a week or so later, found them in the boot my daughters car under a car mat.... cant ever recall being in there ...it's an age thing .. just relax and talk a walk..

Don't worry, a good independant auto locksmith can do extra remote keys at ~ £140 ish a key (or less)- we got a van with one remote key, but given we only have a locking keyhole on drivers side we needed/wanted another remote to be able to unlock if we had someone park close to an entry way blocking the drivers door.. Do not go to Fiat/Peugeot as they'll want hundreds -> when I got a quote from Peugeot it was £400 a key! The auto locksmith will need to visit your van to plugin to the OBD port with your single spare to program additional keys, and remove the ones you have misplaced.

No idea on other locks but if they are keyed alike, and if you have a photo of the old key it can be decoded -> or again an auto locksmith may be able to decode..

I recently couldn't find the remote for one of our TV, had to buy a new one. A few weeks later I was in the hallway looking for something in the upper shelf where I store random stuff for out doors activities. It was there. A few days later I noticed another remote was missing and it was in one locker on the top shelf where I keep all my Commodore 64 stuff. Things sometimes end up in the most unusual places.

And about Ducato keys. My friend works at the dealer and he recently noticed that the key for the latest Ducato is priced at over eight hundred euros. Might be an insurance case if one gets lost. The key for a few years older was only in in the 6 hundreds.

Mine is 2009 so auto locksmith will be the way but Hab door and the side doors and storage and gas and garage are just plain ordinary keys , all the locks will need changing or the barrels changing with new keys ?maybe?

Have you checked your bins. I put our shed keys in the bin last week. It’s a bin with a lid that opens up every time you go near it. i had searched everywhere and on retracting my steps for the umpteenth time, realised what I had done. The bin is near to where I kept the keys.

Just a thought, do you happen to be wearing winter style warm lined trousers. My hubby once lost the keys to our motorhome and we searched high and low with no joy. They finally turned up weeks later when I was washing his ski kex and felt something at the very bottom of one of the legs. Turns out he had a small hole in one of his pockets that he hadn't noticed & the keys had wriggled through it & descended within the layers to the lowest point without him being aware of it.

OK Main hab door is a ZADI key ,,, that lock will need replacing , the Cab doors are fiat they will need new barrels too?? ,and the rest for gas, water , toilet and garage are probably Thetford / Adria ??? or Zecam ?? could buy a set of 4 barrels for those with 2 spare keys

Wild chance the keys are in the Moho somewhere, you don't mention you searched there, just the house and car.. ?

OK a bit more research

Cab door is

Door lock PRASCO FT9308910

about £20 barrel and 2 keys

Hab door is Zadi lock so barrel and 2 keys £20

Toilet ,Garage , Gas etc all Thetfors Zadi so a kit of 4 barrels and 2 keys is £18

New remote and reprogramme by Locksmith about £150

Not more tha £240 to fix

The Samaritans may help you but not the key issue, they have a habit of just reappearing. Hope they do and quickly.

Panic sets in - I 'lost' my credit cards a while ago, only realised when trying to use them in a shop - sat down and thought hard but calmly

Eventually remembered that I had emptied my pockets before climbing through a window (mine :giggle:)............

Sleep on it you might remember if you put them somewhere 'safe'(y)

Once they turn up, which they inevitably will, buy an AirTag or similar.
We lost our spare whilst away this year, eventually found. Though not before spending nearly £400 on a replacement 😟

additional disaster and its my fault
whoooooaa

it feels like a disaster OP, but it isnt, its keys, a van and a slight inconvenience, thats all

hold fire, take stock and wait, the keys will more than likely turn up, sleep in it as you are , treat it as a break, keep away and try and relax.

take some time and deal with it in a day or so

...... so this is an additional disaster and its my fault
Many of us beat ourselves up with blame and don't make the same allowances for ourselves that we would if it was someone else.
None of us is perfect.

We met a lovely French chap couple of yrs ago and spent quite a bit of time chatting.
Then he had a nap and we went for a walk.
When we got back he couldn’t find his keys, all 3 of us almost turns the van inside out looking. I think he thought we had pinched them.
He opened up the rear barn type doors at the back of his PVC to look under the made up bed, I happened to move a bit of bedding and his keys fell out!
You keys are probably somewhere silly, slid down the cushions of a chair, fallen out of pocket when bending over, going to the loo or you’ve put them down doing something else and just not noted it!
Its not a major disaster, they will more than likely turn up and all you are doing is making yourself ill!
Slow down!

Your state of mind is probably not helping your situation and fogging your search for your keys. You are a brave person to admit to such issues and I understand that this can cloud judgment and affect your concentration. I hope you find your keys soon. But find someone to talk to to help get away from the current stresses.

My late wife used to say "they must be where you left them" or "they must be somewhere".......

............of course she was right!
