Lenny's Wandering around France again.

Yep, plan to keep it as we will be 73 by the time we get it, if it arrives on time. Garage only very slightly smaller and far more under floor storage, also not having the drop down bed.
We have just made an offer on one, but to last for the duration? Who knows, I will have my 54th in 10 days time so wait and see eh😆😆😆👍

You never know it might be a good ride as it is and no need for full air, with right tyres and air pressure in them.
Its worth it just for the stability with cross winds passing artics, it takes the driving pleasure to a different level & the added bonus of leveling.

Sound plan, for the few times people use a drop down bed , I can’t see the benefit of one, only for people who want to sleep separate, which in our case will be never, doesn’t bear thinking about lol, are you going to make provisions when designing the electrics to double it in the future? Or maybe a efoy ?
Not having an oven so will make use of the lithium with air fryer and other electric bits. Will start with 350 watts of solar can probably get 500 on the roof, see how we go. Efoy too expensive for what they are and running costs fairly high, not really necessary with Lithium.

I love an oven but often read that people are not happy with the MH oven, never used an air fryer but my mum swears by it, mind you Dutch people don’t use ovens much for cooking, only for baking, I only discovered the delights of using an oven for cooking when I moved to the UK 19 years ago👍

An Efoy is expensive to buy but I am glad I have one. More expensive to run than free solar sunshine but daily fuel cost is cheaper than an EHU (UK). It doesn’t mind if there is no sunshine or if I park in the shade. It can produce 140Ah per day but my daily consumption is less than 50Ah and 1x 100Ah LiFePO4 is plenty because I don’t need to store up lots of power for the rainy days. Probably not the answer for most people but it suits me and my medical needs for overnight CPAP.

Been waiting since February for mine
They sent me for another eye test now got to have another medical next week
I’m as fit as a butchers dog so cannot work it out what their game is.
Should shut Swansea down and move dvla to Newcastle
OH's licence took a year and MP's involvement. Sent mine off a couple of weeks ago, recorded delivery. If it hasn't shown up by Christmas, I'll be setting Suella ( local MP)on them.

How did you manage to get it to that price. I was happy with £177 single.
The difference in outward and homeward prices are ridiculous. This was 10th sept out and 19th Oct return. This was to avoid driving from Central Scotland to dover/folkestone and avoiding M20 car park. It did hurt but driving through Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and on to France was a complete joy in comparison.

Lenny, out of the 25 nights away, did you stop anywhere more than 2nts?

Bright and sunny this morning and only had a shower lunchtime & a bit of light rain late afternoon.

Met the local loonies, one guy walking down the street in shorts & tee shirt, I mean it's 11° we have jumpers & winter coats on.

Then Mi met a young lady in the church porch who was telling her how lovely the church is inside then proceeded to tell her she was God.

Arrived too late to walk up to the falls, good job to they want 8 quid each to do the walk, they can get stuffed with that ain't paying to walk in the country. I expect there are other ways to get there but it looks likes it's hissing down for the rest of the week.

Surprised to find the chippy open on a Sunday so we indulged. Being up north you got a choice of fish or fish, no cod, haddock, huss or place.
Also being up north we were surprised that the portions were small compared to down south.

Carrfour at Sarlat 3 nights that was a bit of a long stop for us, and a couple of places 2 nights, everywhere else 1 night.

That invoice say 4m x 7m but you say your MH is 6m and I cannot believe it is 4m tall?

Could you not save yourself a few quid and not bother with all that solar.

Wouldn't get much charge driving 10 miles a day.
Apart from a couple of nights when we had EHU never had the batteries up to a 100% on this trip. Only have 300 Watts of solar on this van.

And the Ingleton chippy wasn’t very nice, not cooked fresh ours.

Had to wait for ours to be cooked it was not bad but fish portion small. In the mid 70's we spent 18 months living up north Wardle near Rochdale, fish and chips was about 50 % bigger than down south & ⅔ the price, not any more.

We where in Cromer in spring, most expensive but also best fish and chips we ever had, I think it was 23 pounds for 2 medium fish and 2 small chips👍

I'm back to a UK flag, bought a 60GB Reglo sim in France two weeks ago just used up the 60GB. It said 5GB roaming I've used 10GB in Belgium/Holland/UK.
