Lenny's Wandering around France again.

Tonight we went to an invitation only opening night of an exhibition of Mini Pratts paintings "Mini Pratts Scrapbook" at Barrow in Furness Dock Museum.
Don't ask I'd never heard of her either.

Museum gave us permission to stay in the car park, had a bit of a wander around the museum looked interesting will have a proper look tomorrow.

In the overspill car park, had to check the tides apparently it floods on very high tides.

We're about 20 odd miles further north from Pooley Bridge and have just had the first frost on our car this morning.🥶
Us southerners don't do frosts, well not by the time I get up.

Sounds like a busy program at home, plenty of time to plan and purchase all the new goodies for the new MH, what is the plan then, do you have a list of upgrades worked out ?
Of course, been having loads of sleepless nights working out the electrics. Also 'er indoors is likely to restrict me to spending no more than 10k on it, that's going to be a pain.

Now the important bit you have all been waiting for, Camping cost of the foreign part of the trip.
It was an expensive one €94.50 for 25 nights that included camping, some daytime parking and water, so €3.78 (£3.29) a night.

Well if we are into that game, which I like playing just as much as Lenny HB and CazPaul.

We had a 18 day trip to/from SE Poland. Total cost for sites, water, dump etc. £0.00

Recent 14 day trip to Crete - Taxi, Flight, villa rental, car rental £1,700 [But that was well spent to give Basia some relaxing time after Mother's death, and thankfully it worked]

Had a better look around the Dock museum this morning.

I blame CazPaul he sent all his rain up here been hissing down until 4pm.

Now at Furness Abbey only about 2 miles from Barrow another place the council allow you to overnight for free.
Had a free firework display eairler, the lads come up here to let a few fireworks off.

Shame you weren’t still here Lenny, I’m on a temp contract 2 night shifts Sat/Sun right opposite the museum driving this, could have nipped out for a cheeky cuppa👍

Nice one that, our 11 nights in the dales cost £41.80 in total.

53 nights in Ireland so far total camping cost £0, parking cost £0, water cost £0

Have spent a few Bob in diesel though but then I have done 1800 miles so far

Eh

Are you adding an extension?

10k in upgrades jeeso I can buy a van for that .
Full air will be a big chunk of that and then 300-400 ah of Lithium plus the rest of the electrics. Look at what you were going to spend on electrics on on the Vario.

Haven't spent a lot of time weighing up the costs yet. Still haven't got a physical driving license, it will be exactly a year in January since applying.
Been waiting since February for mine
They sent me for another eye test now got to have another medical next week
I’m as fit as a butchers dog so cannot work it out what their game is.
Should shut Swansea down and move dvla to Newcastle

Worst mistake they made was closing all the other dvla offices , we used to have a few in Scotland that could handle most stuff. Madness having it all in bloody Wales.

Yes but think I will have to break the piggy bank for more cash, I think the full air has gone up a lot, it was over 7k on this van 3 years ago.
You can’t take it with you, so might as well enjoy it while you can, do you intend to keep this new van for a longer time? The gearbox will be such a pleasure to use , big difference 👍, how is the garage in the new one, a lot smaller?

Yep, plan to keep it as we will be 73 by the time we get it, if it arrives on time. Garage only very slightly smaller and far more under floor storage, also not having the drop down bed.

Sound plan, for the few times people use a drop down bed , I can’t see the benefit of one, only for people who want to sleep separate, which in our case will be never, doesn’t bear thinking about lol, are you going to make provisions when designing the electrics to double it in the future? Or maybe a efoy ?
