Cycled down to Zell had lunch then cycled back on the other side of the river to Briedel and got the ferry back across the river. A bit lazy only did 13 miles.

Nice and warm 29° but there has not even been the slightest breeze, feels more like 40 in the sun.

Moved 15km upstream to Traben, Mr wallet not happy, €13 plus tourist tax total €14.70 OUCH! Has got a very clean loo & shower that we won't be using & includes EHU.

Can't get away from Funsters, parked next to Ditcha I think Funsters must crawl out of the woodwork when I go on tour. :ROFLMAO:

14€ is the price for a full blown camp site pitch with ACSI. Off season, though, so you still probably save by going to aires.

After lunch got dragged over a mile up a flipping great big hill to visit the Bundesbank Cold War Bunker.
From 1966 to 1988 they stored 15 billion Deutschmarks here, they were a new design so if the East flooded West Germany with fake currency they could replace the entire counties currency in 14 days.
Even the locals didn't know the true purpose of all the building work in the 60's until it was opened as a museum 2 years ago.

Edit:

Locals were given a tour of the bunker in 2010 but it didn't open as a museum until 2 years ago.

Was there any Deutschmarks left over as the way we are going at the moment they will be worth more than the pound

I had problems on the Mosel and Rhine getting a good signal. There are various providers if you do a scan but few of them seem to speak Vodafone. :)

Got a full 4G on the phone tonight, last couple of places had very good free WiFi but data can be very iffy if more than a few 100 yards from a village centre. First time the mifi with the Poynting has let me down.

I also found 4g to be a bit variable along the Mosel and that was with poynting booster right on top of the RV (3.7mtr) .

We were so disappointed with Traben too ... Bernkastel Kues was one of the nicest places we visited, worth a half day.
Food .... my best meal was in Cochem an amazing flammkuchen mit pfifferlingen (excuse any spelling errors) ...

I think there was ham on it on the menu but I asked for it without ...

Ignore him, he is too tight to buy good food. :D :D We had some really nice meals when we were in the Mosel. TripAdvisor is a good huide as long as you resd between the lines.
Germans don't know what fresh food is, my Jager Art Snitzal the other day described on the menu with fresh mushrooms. Probably were fresh a year ago before they were canned.
