Lenny's Short Trip to Germany

Always our second stop after CE if we're heading east. :)
We always get on/off the E42 at the services just up the road.(y)

The canal trip you can take at the Ascenseur , is quite nice , includes visit to pump station , and using the old lift . Its quite tight thru village to that aire in a 12mtr when they are doing road works in the village ! :)

Planning to stop on the way to Dusseldorf this time and do the trip, it was out of season last time we were there.

Got a long way today back where we stared at this rate we may never reach Germany. Oh well, that what motorhoming is all about, enjoying the moment.

Then we walked up to the upper canal, knackered us and not worth the effort.

:D

Back at the carpark there was a Funster parked next to us it was Oscar, since we met in Spain last year, don't appear to be able to get away from him. Second time we have met in two weeks, Retro Festival last time.

Then on to one of the old lifts on the old canal.

Just caught up with your thread Lenny HB.
Glad you got the suspension sorted quickly, great service.

We also came a cropper on Belgian roads in June. Hit a couple of huge potholes in the rain and now have a loud creaking from the front.
Took the van to Full Circle in Norfolk, who fitted the VB air, and they diagnosed a damaged plate at the top of one front leg.
Two new front legs replaced under warranty this week but we still have a creak.
Must be something moving at the front but they say that the suspension and steering are OK.

Bloody Belgian roads. :Eeek:

Enjoy the rest of your trip and take it easy on those roads.

That's not good, you were lucky to get it done under warranty.

Sorry Me being a bit thick didn’t realise you had to click the spoiler tab, that’s good that he fixed it but sounds like they routed it wrong in the 1st place good job you wasn’t to far from their base
He routed them as Goldscmiitt state but one of the pipes was a bit too short me thinks so his fault. He put a new pipe on both sides at the front and routed them the way VB do it. Hopefully no more problems.

Now on a nice Aire by the canal at Floreffe.
Mr. Wallet is not happy €4 for 24hr plus €2 to use the Flot Bleu.

You are almost as thrifty as me Lenny.:D:D:D
Must have a look at that inclined plane lift. We have one here if they ever finish it.

That would take some doing & I don't live as close to Yorkshire obviously where you catch it from.

The one in France near the Vosges is really impressive.

TuWell we just arrived, not a good start, the chap who collects the money found us a space. But the krauts next to us who were taking up two spaces did want to move there bikes out of the way and he had a big argument with them .

Getting better met Brian hilldweller, they are moving in the morning so we can have their pitch. Thanks Brian & Diane.

First time our mifi with the roof aerial has let down, data signals here are hopeless occasionally get a 4 g but only for a few mins.
There is free WiFi Dave said at the beginning of the Stellaplatz works well but the repeater ½ way down gets overloaded.
We are parked 15m from the repeater and it's hopeless because it's the strongest signal everyone's devices connect to it.
Up with the long range directional aerial connected to the weaker signal at the front of the Stellaplatz, perfect fast WiFi. :D
