Hi Lenny
How have you changed the headlight beam for EU driving.....can you put the beam on lowest setting and that be OK......or just not bother....😎

Cheers🍻
See #455 Lenny is no longer posting on this thread.

I believe your Benimar Mileo 282 has Fiat headlights, you should find what you need to do in your Fiat handbook. My Ducato Series 9 handbook says “alter the light beam direction by affixing a specially designed self-adhesive film in order not to dazzle the vehicles travelling in the opposite direction.” Lenny has Carthago A Class headlights and these are very different and can be adjusted.

Have changed to an A class now and Fiat handbook doesn't mention driving in EU.
Only adjustment I can see is height of beam.

Cheers🍻

If it has the round hella headlamps then they can be adjusted by removing the light loosing the screws and turning lamp.

You should find the information in the A Class manufacturers handbook for your motorhome. Might be helpful if you updated the info below your Avatar to remove the Benimar details, I wasted several minutes looking up the Fiat information.

Dammit. That's another job needing done! Great job Lenny.
Now done. Twice I had ripped the grey pipe off on things my navigator didn't warn me about.I hope the new deluxe waste pipe position averts any further disagreements.

Hi Lenny, do you plan to fit a drinking water filter, I saw that you did on your Hymer and wondered if you thought it worth it?

Just put the deposit on C2 T Tourer 143, Lenny's experience would be extremely welcome, we want to get it ready for retiring at the end of summer 25.

His choice but it seems a bit silly to me to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Finally got around to starting a thread, at least it will stop you lot nagging me.
I've been a bit busy with daughter visiting from Thailand and fitting in the Hereford Rally a few days after getting the van.

This van is giving me a lot of earache, someone keeps going on about has small & cramped it is.

A few pics of the poky little van, to be honest apart from a few niggles the build quality so much better than the Hymers we have had, makes it look like Hymers were built in the Lada factory. :giggle:

The posy cushions they supply are quite nice but not very practical.

Dash is quite nice apart from the steering wheel being on the wrong side.

How are you finding the compactline 141 lounge please? Is it smaller than the 138/143 lounge? As clever as the Compactline is it really can’t be a tardis and I believe that the bed measurement of the 141 is 530 longer than the 138 transverse bed is wide - but the MH is only 260 longer, so it must have come out of the lounge or the bathroom? Any feedback much appreciated.

I have a 138 and the side sofa in the lounge is definitely bigger than the 141, as is the table (although I replaced the top for a narrower one). Also on the side near the hab door the little side section is narrower meaning that the little seat is different and smaller in the 141 as it can only be used at an angle whereas ours is straight with a load of storage space underneath. We considered the 141 briefly but wanted to keep the length down whilst still having 2 beds so not having to climb over each other. I have the rear double and hubby has the front drop-down, works a treat

Thank you so much for the fast response - that’s exactly how the lounge looked to us and I guess if you want the longitudinal beds then you just have to cut the table size down too.

You can see from the above layouts the difference.

Get a 143 you know it makes sense, only a few centimeters longer.

We've gone for the 143 on a Merc cab, hope it's not too small. We looked at the Hymer 600 but the kitchen near the door and a concealed TV rather than at the entrance made more sense, not mention the underfloor storage.
Hopefully pick it the next 10 days, new 2025 decor.
