Best order the LHD one now and you should see it in a few years timešŸ˜ƒ have fun pimping this one for someone else though šŸ˜
Not the wait it was according to Carthago, they are almost upto date with all back orders and are looking to bring improvements on current models to maintain sales. Looks like the bubbles has burst and normality is getting closer.
Interestingly the growth appears to coming from their PVC range ,Malibu.

That's not surprising as there's definitely more 6, 6.4 metre pvc vans about than a class and coachbuilt these days . They're everywhere. It's the small lounge that puts me off and the limited storage or I'd have one myself .

Lenny HB I fitted Smartsolar and Ablemail to my Compactline today. Pretty straightforward. Thanks for your advice.

Our Hymer came out of the factory wired and equipped with a B2B and EHU charger which will do all that we want in a motorhome. You can't get simpler than that. Just needed that heavy AGM swapped out for lithium. Added a 300 watt inverter for the laptop and we were on our way.
Which B2B & EBL has it got?

Which B2B & EBL has [the 2022 Hymer Exsis-i 580] got?
Hymer factory fitted Schaudt 121545 - I have it set for Lithium at 45amp.

Hymer factory fitted Schaudt EBL 30 - I have it set for GEL. It gives 16 amp, which is plenty overnight. (say 4pm to 9am)

The Schaudt B2B on Lithium setting gives out a constant 14.2v and doesn't shut of when the battery is charged, that why I'm not using the one that came with my van and fitting a Victron.

The EBL on Gel has an absorbtion time of 16 hours should only be an hour max for Lithium again I wouldn't use that with Lithium.

I now have a Schaudt EBL 262-4. Do you know what the absorption time is for the lead acid setting? On my previous CBE set up I found the lead acid setting more suitable for Li than gel, similar voltage but much shorter absorption time.

this is my first new van ,,so I'm a novice at what can you do ,,but can you do all the mods yourself and keep the warranty in tact ,,? i was thinking if i do a mod and something goes wrong they will say it was the mods you done that caused it wither it did or not ,,on my out of warranty autotrail i did lots myself ,,but worried if i make one little mistake they will void it ,,

Doesn't give it in the manual but the float voltage of 13.8v is too high for Lithium.
You could ask Udo he normally replies in an hour or two.

On our Super B batteries they say that 13.8v is the typical float voltage with a max of 13.9v and a minimum of 13.6v, so far I have followed their instructions but always open to learning.

Recommendations do vary but most say 13.5v to 13.6v, better to be too low than too high.

If I am right super b use cylindrical cells rather than prismatic cells that could be why they recommend a higher float voltage.

The Epsilon are cylindrical but our Nomia are prismatic, on double checking this info on their web page I notice that the latest Nomia battery has a charge voltage of 14.2v where our earlier ones call for a range 14.3/14.6 with 14.4v typical.

Ours are cylindrical cells - we charge to 14.25 then absorb then float at 13.45 (storage at 13.2), I'm sure float (for a generic lithium cell should be under 13.6v, but can't for the life of me remember why, but I think that 13.6v may still give a very small charge, and under that nothing happens.

My theory with different battery brands and the different instructions over the years (and noting the dates they were published), is that the charge profiles recommended are just as much influenced by the BMS and its settings, and when they cell balance, as for the cell design itself.

Following the manufacturers recommendation is probably best - and the battery will likely get moved on before its dead, either because of shiny new technology, or because I get too old and sell the van :)

Our Compactline is essentially the same as a van. 6.4m long 2.1 wide. Same as Lenny's except transverse bed and superior leather upholstery. Very comfortable lounge and massive garage. We have a 138 as opposed to the 141.

It's a tiny garage on the 138.

Lenny is your new Carthago Compactline on a 3.5t chassis if so what is the payload please.
Unfortunaly yes, payload over MIRO is 565kg with factory fitted extras 390kg.
No way can it be run at 3500kg.
Want to fit full air but may just fit semi air on rear, once that's done should be able to uprate to 4200kg.

Both VWE and SV Tech told me the maximum they could get me on my Compactline 143, is 4000kg with rear air.
