Lenny's Modding the new Mini Gin Palace

Nah, don't believe it's Mrs W at all, remember with MHs where the damp actually appears isn't always where the water has come from as it 'runs' along the rails etc!
It’ll have to run Down the whole van!! I’ve been kipping in the front bed🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You've been a naughty boy and banished to the other end for farting under the bed clothes again haven't you!

4th new van we have had never had them in any of them. Don't think I've seen any new vans with them in.
I think most, if not all British 'vans and several foreign ones have them as standard. I think it's part of the NCC accreditation as are things such as flame retardent upholstery which is often absent in imported 'vans.

Our humble 2021 Autotrail came new with both smoke and carbon monoxide detectors fitted. Plus a fire extinguisher. I thought it was a legal requirement / industry standard?
I never look in Brit built vans, only ever had German.

Weighed the van today, whoops only 300kg over.
As we were going to the Lynton Top meet decided to load the van as if it was a 6 week trip. So it was pretty much fully loaded, didn't have the washing machine or paddleboard but had a battery I was delivering & that was heavier. A lot more food on board than normal as daughter & grandkids joining us (in their tent). Full tank of water (150 Lt) about 90% fuel.

Front axle 1580kg
Rear axle 2220kg
Total 3800kg

What's the load rating for your read tyres ?

Nice van Lenny.
I have a little giggle to myself when i read about the electrical work you and others talk about.
It's all gobbleegook to me, it may well have been written in Chineese to me (notice i didn't use that offensive word:X3:).
Would love to have the knowledge/expertise to do a fraction of the work you lot do.
Now wheres that 3 pin plug that needs a fuse.

Great work Lenny. I am chuffed to bits with our 143, albeit second hand, but it is LHD! Downsizing from a tag axle Hymer wasn’t as traumatic as I expected although Mrs Pixie hasn’t quite stopped sniffing yet. Will keep an eye on your mods, although nothing planned for ours yet, pretty standard, with one solar, heavy chassis, seems to be working well for us so far after a few trips and quick jaunt to France

Same for me!!

What make/model are your 175 panels please Lenny as they look a good useful size.....?
Victron got them from RogerIvy (OffGrid) a good price with Funster discount.

Donto worry it's still a Carthago and it's got a proper auto box 🤣🤣🤣

1st night using the Lithium set up, used 108ah!!!

Mine uses 12ah a day doing nothing, with no solar connected and 12v off on the panel. That's dashcams front and rear, tracker, alarm and whatever Fiat stuff is always on.

There's a strip light? we strip in the dark:giggle:
That's very considerate of you. For years I tried unsuccessfully to get my ex-wife to do that.
