Lenny's Looking for Some Sunshine

Great pictures Lenny, we will use that Aire and visit the centre next time were passing. Good to see blue skies at last. We too in the UK have better weather moving in. Your meal looked nice and the lamb looked like quite a large portion, not much change out of €65.00 for that lot I'm guessing.

€47 and lovely looking lamb shank

The winner.

Only got a glass but got a Lemoncello type shot with the bill.
To numb the pain no doubt! Edit. Just seen your bill. That's fantastic ! Could you imagine the bill if that was in France ! Anouther reason why many prefer Spain to France, me included. (No one euro bars in France either).

Looks like the Spanish get a lot better offset help than our miserly 5p
Most of Europe much cheaper than the UK. Germany still high though. I think the issue in the UK is garage forecourts are refusing to play the game and want to maximise their profits even with the full knowledge of the hardship this is causing many of their customers. It would also seem the Government is powerless to do anything about this I'm all right Jack attitude.

Blimey I was way out!!
That was great value👍
Bit steep for down here. :giggle:

Yes,mandatory 20c with 15 by gov.es &5 from companies.
Additionally there are various other discounts that are available normally and which still apply on top. If you have a carrefour over 65 card you get another 5% with cepsa .
Also with them if you register for a loyalty card it used to be 5%off & pay with Mastercard added another8%. If you took out a cepsa Mastercard debit/credit card you got another 10% if I recall correctly?

Before 1st april discount 230 gas stations all over Spain increased there prices so as to benefit from maintaining exorbitant profits. The consumer agency sanctioned all of them & is pushing for multi million euro fines for scamming consumers.
Why they'd think they'd get away with it here where the fuel price are noted & adjusted daily,up or down, I've no idea? 🤷‍♂️

First. Petrol Companies
Second. Government, the higher it goes the more Tax they collect what’s the incentive for them to force the above to pass on cost reductions that occur when the price of crude oil drops for instance.
Third. The Retailer, they hardly ever pass on any so called saving that either of the above propose.

Had a walk down to the village for a coffee. Found a much shorter way back, only took an hour to get back.
