Lenny's heading South yet again

We stayed at Alcaniz last year and loved it. We had fantastic tapas in one of the restaurants in the town. We were worried that we would get ripped off as the owner asked if we would like a selection of tapas, they didn’t rip us off at all and we had a fantastic lunch. Have you stopped on the Aire outside Morella? We had only driven a short distance from Benicassim on our way back so it was a little too early for us to stop, another time perhaps?

I’m sorry to interfere but you seem to be bypassing my Gaslo cap in Teruel…getting a bit worried…would it be too much to ask to divert a little bit North…pump no 2 remember 😥
Too late drove past Teruel on the the Autopista

Thanks for the tip about Alcañiz, I think we might be able to get there tomorrow. But there's another good aire a bit nearer to us, well what time we get away tomorrow. :)
Not much in the town but a convienant stop.
It was Sunday afternoon nearly everything closed.

I'm struggling over what to do over Easter and of course where. Campsite prices will be high. I think we will delay going to the delta until next week and find somewhere inland for the holiday period.

I know the feeling as you know we don't like campsites certainly not at full price but we want a bit of warmth on the coast.
So Mr. Wallet is going to have to suffer.

Prices in Bonterra Resort, Benicasim …where I seem to have ended up ☹️…not that you or Lenny would want to go there went from €18 a night… I did a deal…to €34 a night …did another deal..for the 5 nights of Easter. Normally €23 and €46 for Easter 🙄.

I bit the bullet as it suits me at the moment and by all accounts it gets lively in Benicasim at Easter, parades, bands, lots of booze and Spanish dancing (that’s me after a few beers) etc in town.

And couldn’t be arsed trawling around ram packed or full Aires over Easter. After Easter it will all calm down and a lot more choice whether it be back of the fire station Aires next to the Abattoir in the middle of nowhere or all singing all dancing 5 star camp sites with Elvis Presley tribute acts ! Happy Easter

We’re on the Delta at the moment at Casa de Fusta arrived last night and got the last place of the 60 odd. It is still free just pay for service if you need them. They have now marked out all the spaces presumably to stop the few who take too much space. The weather is great 22deg at 10am with very bright sun. Bought a Vodafone.es sim yesterday as I didn’t realise Free.fr limited data while roaming outside France. But the speed on the Delta is a bit limited.

EDIT: Senior moment, I meant to say that people are moving off all the time I can now see about 20 empty spaces but worth getting here early as I suspect it will fill up quickly this afternoon.

You know what… I reckon someone’s nicked it…It was only 3 weeks ago... Unbelievable ! I don’t know what the worlds coming to.

Hi HM, you're not alone, we very nearly forgot to pick up our gas filler cap the other day from the top of the pump.

You can buy replacements here 😊

Have you tried contacting the garage directly to see if they have it. If you pay postage they might send it to you.

Ah right Thanks…luckily someone on site here said I could have theirs as they were just off back to Blighty and they would get another one there.

I only asked Lenny HB because someone told me he was extremely reliable and would defiantly be open to the reward money.. I was prepared to offer €1.50 ! I expect he’s kicking himself now ….

Our Gaslow filler cap is attached to the filler by a cord. Did you cut yours off to lose it? ::bigsmile:

With our diesel and water filler caps I leave the keys, which includes engine key, in the cap so I cannot drive away without the caps.

Now you tell us you said you were going to Barcelona first, Chris & Graham bellabee spent another night on the delta. If I'd know you were going to be there as well we would have come down we were only 50 miles away. Down at Altea now.

Cut that because it got in the way of nozzle so more chance of 1st degree burns when detaching the said nozzle…

It turned out our friends in Barcelona are in Estapona so we just carried on to the delta. Brilliant sun free parking but limited gastronomic offerings. Mr wallet very happy, fuel at €1.42 yesterday but gas expensive at 99c but fridge is working off the sun for most of the day So very little gas being used. Only downside is internet very slow at 5Mbps but enough for YouTube may even be enough to watch a bit of TV tonight. Have fun spending all that money in Aleta. The Etang is a bit brown for your paddle boarding here though.

Oh dear we are on a site, well I had to keep up with Tam Northernraider now he uses sites I don't have feel embarrassed about it but I drew the line at wearing a dress. View attachment 735283
Pffft I've been on 3 campsites in 2 months and paid no more than £3 per night lol
