Lenny's heading South yet again

Great fun today, heading for Area de Auto caravans Cartagena needed to turn left just after we came off a roundabout missed it carried on down the narrow road and turned down the next road to try and get back, big mistake road got narrower and there was a huge school that was just turning out. Cars everywhere couldn't turn into the road we wanted to due to cars parked all around the corner quite a few miutes of panic and finally got through the mayhem.
Finally got back to the CP to find it closed, then went to the other one didn't fancy that so now at a CP at Buenis Aries, will get the bus to Cartagena tomorrow.

Isn’t that for 3.5T ? The picture says it’s €15 + €5 for over 3.5T so €20 …or is that a different El Pinet. Looks the same. Anyway still good , I’d go there.

Bonterra was €18 plus €0.50 kwh but 10 amp not 5amp

Got the bus into Cartagena a bit disappointed with the place a few old rocks among fairly new buildings. I was expecting a nice old town.

A guided tour of City Hall was good value at €1.

The clock on City Hall was interesting, it's powered by two stone weights on ropes that gradually lower down and a man has to come in and wind them back up every two days.

In my youth 15 ! during summer school holidays I told my parents I was going to Cornwall …But a friend and I hitch hiked down to Southern Spain instead without telling them …We were once trying to get to Cartagena…when the cars pulled up and wound down the window (yes wind downs in those days) and asked where we were going… we said Cartagena…they drove off looking bemused. Turned out it is pronounced Chharrthenthena ! Never got there….
