Another village with no food shops, getting desperate now. A few restaurants but the nearly affordable menu's didn't float our boat.

Oh well some mince in the freezer so a spaghetti bolognese (with wine & chilli of course) then found out no spaghetti but we had some pasta.
No bread to go with it either but did find out bread van cones round in the morning but at the ungodly hour of 8:45 really don't fancy getting up that early.

Also last bottle of wine & no beer so looks like a serious shopping trip tomorrow.

I suspect St Cirq Lapopie is almost exclusively second homes or holiday homes for rent like many of the beaux villages. No need for shops.

Oh dear, Lenny. Cock up on the catering front! I didn't get where I am today by not buying (according to Mrs tony_g) ridiculous quantities of Lidl beer and wine!

I always have bolognese using fuscilli pasta ... the spaghetti is too much faff and often makes a mess.

I’m also usually full of such good intentions but easily sidetracked by the middle aisle - who could resist a plasma cutter or 240v MIG welder to go with the booze?

Ah those pics take me back. We were there in July years back. Did a huge hike and the dog was so tired she fell asleep by the river with all sorts of excitement going on around her. Normally she'd be throwing herself in the river non stop.

Look out for the Côtes de Rhône Vieilles Vignes in Lidl. It's on offer - six bottles for the price of four - 11Euros 30 for six. :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
We're enjoying it 🍷!
Not keen on Cotes de Rhone & we will be in Spain soon we like Spanish wine.

It's very nice indeed. Best enjoyed in a nice free spot, overlooking the med. With a lovely town 100m away. Of course other wines are available :giggle:

Not really noticed the difference which was a surprise even starting to get used to the peddle position.
With the side wind stability getting hard to justify the 9k for the air but I won't tell 'er indoors that.

Weighed it on the way to the ferry, still running 300kg over (3820) after being very careful what we packed, she's moaning about not enough clothes, only 3 pairs of shoes for me instead of the usual 7, no washing machine or ladder only half my tools, no snow chains.
Where is the weighbridge on the way to the ferry now Lenny
