Just arrived in Germany and at Berchesgarden to visit Eagles Nest. Went online to book tickets and it says closed until 25 th due to heavy snowfall !!

It has been closed 3 different times we have tried

Sorry, I saw they were taken at 05:00 but didn't spot the "pm" after the time. I thought it was 05:00 in the morning.

Speaking of Bertesgarten. We visited a couple of years ago. Must have been lucky. Fascinating visit - especially Hitlers gold (brass) lift. Eerie feeling to be on his footsteps. Lunch on restaurant which was his dining room.

I believe they drained it back in January for maintenance, should be back to normal by March next year.

As a point of interest if you arrive at 6pm say do you worry when your 24 hours actually runs out? Or do you just take it that's fine until sometime tomorrow?

All the weather forecasts I looked at said peeing down all afternoon.
They was wrong, stopped raining a bit after midday and had sunshine all afternoon so had a wander around the village.

Now just 10 miles down the road at Loubressac. Mr. Wallet happy.
We will wander around the village & up to the waterfall in the morning.
Nice and peaceful all on our own again.
