Hi Lenny

Thankyou for all info so far 👍

Bangers & mash tonight but we did keep to a healthy medertarian diet with Saucisse de Toulouse. 😊

Toulouse sausages with baked beans??!!! Sacrilege! Should be white beans at least (Cassoulet).

Catherine should know. She's French.

Jesus nearly had a heart attack just found out how much it is to go in the mosque.
It's nearly 30 years since we last went, and I'm sure it was a lot cheaper then.

But ..... it was an amazing place. Very atmospheric. (it's been both an Islamic mosque and a Christian cathedral).

No point in visiting Cordoba without visiting the Mezquita-Catedral. It would be like going to Granada and shunning the Alhambra.

It's only money! Admittedly, quite a lot of it! 😀

Didn't think much of Alambra far better places in Spain.
I've been 3 times in the last 30 years - most recently in March this year - and I'd go back again tomorrow in a heartbeat. Magical. Especially if you get in early before the crowds.

There are some places in Spain that are "must-sees" - Montserrat is another - quite simply, like nowhere elsewhere on earth!

€33 each😭😭😭
Go down early and instead of queueing there is a self service machine to the left of the ticket booth, use that ( all in English) and it's nowhere near that much but we did go in February.

The early bit might be a problem we rarely get out much before midday.

It’s borderline for me as I like mid 20s, although did go to Death Valley in August and it was high 40s🥵🥵🥵that wasn’t nice!
Very low humidity air very dry so it's really nice.

How much did the "attendant " fleece you for?🤣🤣
He never came round but on our way out this morning I gave him €3 he was pleased.

Found the ticket machine and we could go in at any time gone for 12:30 so we could go and get a coffee & snack. And the bell tower at 5:00 so we could fit some grub in.

Love the wash basin in the snack bar.

Well today didn't go as planned hot up early, set early just before 11 (that's early for us).
Stopped at University Aire at Zaragoza for lunch & to top up water that was at 12:30.

Wandered down to the huge Carrafour to get some bread, fatal mistake, by the time we got back & had lunch it was gone 3:30.

So now at Calatayud not a very interesting town but another free stop.

Can't believe no-one else has commented on the jesus comments regarding the mosque admission fee. Intended irony or Freudian slip?
Jesus is seen as "first reserve' in Islam. They recognise him as a Phrophet according to my local Chemist who is a practicing Muslim so ask why being charged admission fees to the Mosque

A very strange French man when we came back to the van he had moved over a few feet maybe to get the evening sun.
Probably needs a bit more space for his generator to charge his batteries overnight.

1) Jesus is a common Christian name in Spain.

2) I'm not religious so doesn't bother me.

3) The Mosque was converted to a Christian cathedral in the 1340's.
