Safer than a 5Lt box on the table helps to lower my wine consumption.Oooh! A carafe as well...........very posh.
Must keep the standards up when amongst those foreign types.
Richard.
½ glass for her the rest for me.Who is drinking out of the glass and who out of the carafe?
Sorry. Just seen the other glass lurking at the end of the table.
You Have been doing some miles then, we 18 to our dealer this morning & 60 this afternoon enough for one day, may do a bit more tomorrow as we will be using boring motorway. We're at Pronsfeld Bahnhoff SP tonight in the Eifel Naturpark, about 40 miles from Trier. Peaceful and quiet.
Excellent, very quiet and brilliant ride comfort. Van does feel like you are getting bit of a sway but not unexpected with a softer tyre but that was on motorways with very strong winds. Still keeps a dead straight line but we do have full air suspension. How are the new tyres performing?
We'll, now we're over here we'll stick around for a while. You Have been doing some miles then, we 18 to our dealer this morning & 60 this afternoon enough for one day, may do a bit more tomorrow as we will be using boring motorway.
Not been on any yet, keeping my fingers crossed.Hi Lenny
Thanks for the information about the tyres.
Have you noticed an improvement in traction yet on wet, "gritty" inclines?
What sort of tyres, Lenny, shall need a pair after we return. Usually go for Michelin Agilis campers but they seem to wear out a bit quickly. How are the new tyres performing?
Toyo Observe van, they are a winter tyre. The van came with Michelin Agilis Campers, worse tyres I've ever come across for lack of grip and a boneshaker ride. I replaced all 5 even athough 2 were nowhere near worn out, really pleased I did. What sort of tyres, Lenny, shall need a pair after we return. Antwerp is always a bloody nightmare, especially the tunnel.Made it to Deutschland, Antwerp Ring was a pain it took over ½hr to get through the road works.
Now at Xanten by the Archaeological Park, one of the largest in the world so loads of old Roman rocks to look at tomorrow.

Good news if as you say it is really a lot better ride, our Michelin Agilis Campers fitted to the vehicle from new are a bit noisy and I am not sure without the snowflake symbol they are legal come October in Germany etc. even though they have M+S stamped on them. I really liked the Continental Vanco 2 four season on our previous van.Toyo Observe van, they are a winter tyre. You can still use your Michelin Agilis M+S tyres in winter in Germany up until 2024 as long as they were manufactured after the 1st Jan 2018.Good news if as you say it is really a lot better ride, our Michelin Agilis Campers fitted to the vehicle from new are a bit noisy and I am not sure without the snowflake symbol they are legal come October in Germany etc. even though they have M+S stamped on them. I think you mean before. You can still use your Michelin Agilis M+S tyres in winter in Germany up until 2024 as long as they were manufactured after the 1st Jan 2018.
A deep SS frying pan it did take a while if it hadn't been drizzling outside I would have used my single ring cartridge burner gets much hotter. How do you manage a stir fry in a van? Non of my pans nor hob is big enough by the time you are adding the noodles. Although I must admit I do like a mountain of noddles.
I certainly can't get my work on the stove.
I am certain it is ONLY TUNNEL that is exempt as you have to leave vehicle on ferry. I’ve not seen this changed.I think you are right , unless there is no mixing !
FWIW there’s a tunnel in the town, I think Wasslund Tunnel on N49. TomTom Traffic has had me use it a few times when the Kennedy Tunnel has been really bad and it’s saved me some time, quite narrow though, always reminds me of Rotherhithe Tunnel. Usual city traffic, but nowhere in Antwerp is traffic free.Antwerp is always a bloody nightmare, especially the tunnel.
Roadworks have been going on for years
Weather looks better there though Lenny.
Lorry drivers using ferry's don't have to isolate !I am certain it is ONLY TUNNEL that is exempt as you have to leave vehicle on ferry. I’ve not seen this changed.
Best of luck.

Lorry drivers are exempt as aparantly they are immune from covid..... The reason being otherwise they would have to quarantine after every trip and nothing would get delivered.Lorry drivers using ferry's don't have to isolate !
Yes understood. I'm just having a bit of a chat on the subject matter and not attempting to undermine it it or even challenge it really. Even though we will be social distancing, wearing face masks and isolated from the bulk of passengers , we will comply with the rules. As an aside the UK has been put on Germany's naughty step today. Requirements to be met for those coming from the UK into Germany are now in effect.Lorry drivers are exempt as aparantly they are immune from covid..... Logically ferry or tunnel should make no difference as all the passengers could disembark and mix in the nearest pub or shop, personally I'll stick to the tunnel and not mix.
Truck drivers don't catch Covid19 ..If they did our food shops would be empty. BUSBY.You may well be right, unless your bringing goods into the Uk or part of the crew. Clearly these people are not at risk!
