@Puddleduck do you want me to tidy up the ends or leave one on so it can be used for sewing the poppies on to whatever it is?

Think Puddleduck asked for the strands to be left for tying. We were talking about it at Chester.

Yes, please leave the ends as it is less work for you and easier for me to sew onto the backing.

The first lot of poppies i made (the ones that went onto the horse) I had finished the ends and sewn them in and they were a pain to fasten onto the saddle (beach mats )

I have red yarn (different types), black yarn, red felt and black buttons. Martin has a course 13/14/15 of the month and we are taking the van. @The Happy Hooker and I have plans for Friday and Sunday but I am hoping to get poppies made during the evenings and maybe on Saturday. The quilt is a bit too big to take I may also end up making clothes for myself before our cruise and the wedding but I am hoping to buy off the peg.

Hi all, I haven' been able to get on the forum much lately, but am back now. Although I haven't managed to read all the messages I've missed, it looks as if everyone is making great progress & I look forward to helping with the poppies. I'm' currently sewing more than crocheting with 2 quilts on the go. One machine & one hand sewn, but I'll manage to add in some time for poppies I'm sure x
