And then I can honestly say this was a serious question ….

And that was as far as my progression went!

In all seriousness though - what a lovely thread to be resurrected on a damp Sunday!

I’m having a crochet day. I have a few Wip’s 🙄 but I had to go and start another and it’s making me smile. It’s the Mouse in a Suitcase by LauraLovesCrochet. It’s so cute.

A pic (not my work)

Had to forward your photos to my granddaughter who is leading Crochet learning course at the cafe she works in Chard Somerset, she loves making animals 👍🏻

Don’t look too closely 😁

I've just got the suitcase handles and catches to finish off and the labels to sew on.

Fabulous! What a wonderful project. Really impressive. Unfortunately T.B.D. (This Bloody Disease) is messing with my hands at the moment (it can sod off) and I can’t crochet or knit. Not that I could hope to do anything like this. I hope to get back to the sewing machine in the next few days though.

Thank you - I have missed what's happening with T.B.D but hope you can get back to doing things that you love very soon x

bella coco is very good for crochet tutorials on you tube and uses U.K. terms as opposed to US terms

I have to confess to not being very productive since acquiring a pup as she’s very demanding of my lap when I’m sitting down. Now she’s too big to actually get on my lap, she likes to lie with just her head on it so any sewing/knitting/crochet is in real danger of being chewed!

I thaught you were making socks for my poorrly eyes. That was soooo funny!

(Have you ever realised how impossible it is when you cannot see and you have to touch type on an Android phone!!!!!!:giggle:

Just a heads up if you aren't sure if the pattern is US or UK terms ..... if it says sc (single crochet) it's US terms :)

Also when we had a dog she was too big for a lap dog (Irish Setter) but still thought she would fit - head on one arm rest and bum hanging off the other. I would knit and crochet and hand sew over and around her!

Where's Honey? Isn't she supposed to help you? Or is she fast asleep somewhere?
She was busy doing this

MarionK @Sugarman I have to admit I have not looked at - it's hidden at the bottom of my 'to do' list. However, when I last looked at the pattern picture, I noticed the ribbing at the back of the neck was vertical so I think that means that the front straps do not join across the back of the neck - if that makes sense. I will sort it out when I've made my quota of octopus; crocheted an elephant for Diss Carnival Day (Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers will have a stand there) and I also have two more elephants cut out which require sewing and stuffing. That's apart from Morse bags for another group; and, Derek's sweater which is only growing at the rate of seven rows at a time.

I know, I've run out of excuses!!!! Perhaps if someone was needing a little pink cardigan I might push it further up the list.
