Learn to crochet?

Thank you everyone. Loved every stitch because of the different colours. The original pattern was using 4mm and 3.5 mm hooks, I used 3.5 and 3. So it is smaller that it is in the pattern. I completed 24 octogens(well 25 really as I miss counted) 4 quarter granny squares, 16 half granny squares 15 granny squares and did 7 rows of double crochet on the border. Non of the above are the same as the pattern only counts for 16 main octogens so had to figure out the other colours. Style craft DK.

It’s so nice it’s even made me want to try and do it !
Not that I think I’d ever be able to do something as lovely as that. It’s so different with the octagons and stitches and patterns in between . Lovely colours too it’s like an “Angela’s Technicolor dream throw” !

You know how I’ve been complaining about all the sheepsies in the moho? Well look what happened.

Very very proud of my learner at this crottcheting lark. My carer Angela Mrs Badknee ???

that is simply stunning, mrs badknee has a real artists sense of colour, looking forward to the next creations..:xThumb:

you're a very lucky man to have such a talented and creative wife to be proud of with sheepsie yarn..

Still cheaper than a Dyson!

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas, I'll let you know what Santa brings when I've checked out her current rods.

But please keep the ideas coming.
Loads of great ideas already - yarn bowls come in lots of lovely designs (stops it getting tangled).

There are also some lovely books for Amigurumi such as Edwards Menagerie and Unicorns, dragons and more - if you think this could be something she may be interested in.

Mrs Badknee Angela Have a wonderful Birthday today in sunny Spain!

Paddywack I am sure she will love it. So useful, practical and also personal.

Mrs Badknee I love that throw. It makes me think of Moorish counties all the stunning colours.

I have started on the first of the new curtains for the van - filet crochet on a 1.5 mm hook. I just hope they fil as Martin did the measuring due to me having the 'lergy and not so well.

My partner has asked me if there is a pattern available for this as she loves it and would like to make one.

I have finished the pullover I started on 15th November. I was a tad optimistic in thinking I could get it done by Christmas but I’ve made it by the skin of my teeth. This will be the last hand-made sweater I make for Derek. They’re just so cheap to buy. Going to have a loooong break from knitting to rest my arms and shoulders.C2293B78-6F2B-4E5F-B17F-27938FA5C8FA.jpegB12299CF-4BC3-45A0-BD4D-88664112007D.jpeg
