It was raining overnight and earlier on, dry now with a hint of blue sky - and warm!!!!

Jemima is going for oil, oil, air and fuel filter changes once Martin gets back and then we will be able to pack.

It's just started absolutely stotting doon ( for you gentler Southern Folk that's Geordie for "It's hissing it down" ) to the South of you here in Haltwhistle.

It started raining heavily here in Jedburgh about 2 minutes after I put the sausages on the BBQ.

Helen, a quick guestimate for our arrival time tomorrow, pick up grand-daughter (by car) in North Shields at 15:30hrs, drive home (55 miles) through rush hour so allowing 2 hours, then decant her and ourselves into the van and approx 80 miles drive to Kelso so looking at an arrival time 19:30 to 20:00hrs, hope this does not cause you to much inconvenience, will ring as you requested for final guidance once we have an accurate eta. Many thanks looking forward to seeing you all.
