Rally Kelso Rally 16 - 19 June 2017

What a BBQ awesome amount of food in great company and thanks to Sandra for the Scottish Dancing tuition, Charlie had a whale of a time. A huge thanks to our wonderful and attentive host Puddleduck and her other half, there's a lot to be said for these small very intimate and friendly meets.

Thx to the dancers that made our night fun. I can see @TheCaller has his work cut out with some of you at Falkirk :LOL:

I can see my tuition needs to go a little further. WELL DONE in now managing to upload a photo but it's the wrong way round.

I can only echo the above posts,, great meet , great company and great home made rum, thanks to all involved.

Sorry if our 2am phone calls woke anybody, our house allarm went and we had severail caĺls from neighbours and poĺice, all is well and just a false allarm, but sleepless night till we could get somebody in the house to check it out
 
Thanks to everyone at Kelso for making us feel so welcome especially Helen for organising our first Motorhome fun meet. Much appreciate the lift to and from beer festival. Also many thanks for the help and advice to us newbies to motor homing. Look forward to seeing you all again soon. Joe, Ann, Emily, Peanut & Lily.
 
Took Charlie to our rendezvous with her mother at 17.00hrs tonight, and boy did she tell mum what a great time she'd had, from arrival Friday night and the "Missing Drone Search" through to all the lovely folk she had met (including Lilly and Peanut) to last nights BBQ and the Scottish Dancing, she had a wonderful time so thank you everyone it was an absolute pleasure being in all your company, she now wants to know when the next rally is!!! |Thank you Helen, and this mornings bacon sarnies also got a mention.

Damn Sandra we just love a curry, safe onward journey to you all and again to our wonderful hosts Helen and Martin a very special thank you for really making everyone's weekend. Having hosted a rally with another club we appreciate the work that goes into it. The welcome pack was brill.

I agree brilliant curry.
In fact a brilliant meet I am glad we chose it as our first funster rallly, I think we would have found it hard to better it. Small meets are the way to go for a first meet

Can't thank everyone enough for making it a great weekend

Another great meet has come to an end :cry:. What a fantastic time we have had :dance2:, the :sun:has been out to play the whole time.

What a great meet. 3 days and nights of fun and laughter. Huge thanks to @Puddleduck Helen and Martin for arranging everything and their bbq and breakfast skills. To additional bbq chefs Clive and Peter, I bet you were sick of the sight of sausages! Nade and Steve gave us a fabulous curry meal last night too. And lastly thanks to everyone who attended and made the weekend so great. See some of you on the other Scottish meets.

Thanks for the thanks everyone, we are all blushing (Steve and Nade are here with us).

It was a real pleasure meeting with everyone and thank you for being so patient with us on the first rally we have hosted. The landowner has been paid (receipt to follow) and I have settled up with Steve and Nade for the curry ingredients. There was an overall surplus of £60 which we are giving to Sandra @irnbru towards her fundraising.
Looking forward to SVBM (bus museum rally) next weekend.

Hoping to make this an annual event :)
 
Nice one Helen(y) With the amount of drop outs from the 40 odd you originally had to the 20 that turned up I would be happy to pay a non refundable 50 percent deposit next yr.

I will be doing just that on any future Scottish meets I organise.:D

Non shows then money goes to fundraising.:D

Thanks for all your kind comments, This was our first rally and hopefully not our last! Thank you to Helen and Martin for letting us help out, Sorry we missed out on the bbq (no more beer festivals for me)! Hope to see you all again soon.:D
 
We had a wonderful weekend at Kelso. Thanks to Helen and Martin for taking on the challenge. It was lovely to meet so many of the FUNsters at our very first rally on our very first weekend out in the van.

Many thanks to Martin for helping us with our gas issue, and to everyone else who shared so much valuable information and experience with us. We arrived not knowing anything about our van or the systems in it, and left feeling much more confident.

We look forward to our next FUNsters rally.
