Rally Kelso Rally 16 - 19 June 2017

I cant remember its name but it might be the View point just past New Abbey, I think its something burn view point. There again i could be totally wrong

Gerry you disappoint it's Drumburn open I believe for 10 or 11 months of the year. Looked into Carsethorn this afternoon, suprised to find a caravan all set up, legs down, to Ariel up and the owner grooming his dog on top of the picnic table, that's gonna be a big negative, probably a "no overnighting/no motorhomes or caravans in the near future"
Back to Drumburn the private owner allows overnighting stress overnighting no long stays. Cracking spot with views to die for but no 3 coverage for those needing wifi, no wc facilities or or water. The upper level accessed by a bit of a steep ramp is not possible if you have a long overhang and has 3 parking spaces.

I looked at that but thought it too expensive for a pub cl, (where your tempted to spend money in the pub) is it any good ? were on a free if you eat in pub tomorrow at cast

https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=cottage+inn+hotel

but looking for somewhere for the following two days
Yes it is expensive for a CS/CL, but quite close to town 10 minutes walk down the hill and 20 minutes back!

Pub looks OK for a drink, but was not impressed by the menu. We walked into town this evening and ate at the Tavern Steakhouse, which was good.

thats interesting, you would think they would be more competive and fill the site then give vouchers for money off a meal in the pub, seems like poor management to me. Were staying for at the cottage inn

https://www.cottageinnhotel.co.uk/ the menu seems nice....

I haven't used them as we get ours from Hedgeley Services on the A697. Might be worth a call as they could do the VAT at 5%! Rhymers Tower at Earlston no longer do LPG.

Then I have this for near Edinburgh:

Again a call to make sure they still do it and have it in stock.

Hope it helps.

So next time you see a nice sunset and wilding, if no one near just get out and get that SUNNY pic. Knickers on or not Don't worry about mooning if there's no one around.

Is this it??
If so it has a closed sign at the entrance but they are cleaning it up as we speak and it looks like it's going to be open soon(y)
And some people look as if they are just driving in from the exit already ;)

Yes thats it. Park where the last photo is. (y) If you were to reverse in then look along to the right at the corner of the path you will see the water tap.

Signs gone so it's open I guess(y)
