Just an update on where we are going.

It is written and recorded and still holds the title Black Pudding was invented? and still today the BEST in the world. END OF.
No doubt others are nice imitations. ;)(insert black pudding emoji here)

Have a great time at the market. You probably already know, but there's also a large one the day before in Bordighera the day before. I think I lost half a stone doing both markets. Quickly topped up from the many bars and restaurants along the front.

We stayed at Camping Vallecrosia, which was quiet up to the day before the market, then rammed full.

AND the best Black Puddings in the world................Bury

No way.

THE best black pud in the world comes from Derek Dunne Craft Butchers, in Wicklow Town, Co Wicklow. Having tried pud from all round the the British Isles, I will not brook contradiction.

Sorry to divert Chaser, but false pud assertions are a matter of national importance and need to be challenged!

Please return to describing your tour, which is giving me ideas as we will be doing a circuit of motorhome-loving France next year.

Seriously, in my opinion which I know doesn't mean a lot on here, don't do too much planning, just go with the flow, plenty places to stop, don't be in any rush to get somewhere on a given day, have a goal in mind by all means but not a time.

Can't do it. 17 year old non-verbal autism and a 14 year old semi-verbal autism. Both capable of going off-the-scale berserk if things go wrong!! The thought of trying to find somewhere to stop, scares the sh!te out of us! We need the surety of having a reservation.

Once we have the lads a bit more independent, we can do as you suggest, but until then, we pre-book everywhere we go.

Everyone seems to motorhome differently!!

Love Switzerland. Which bit are you in? That looks like you are up near Lac de Joux?

We have dropped on a gem tonight,
IMG_20220910_172150642.jpg
somewhere below Grenoble, stopped at a motorway services and got park4night up and it came up with this just over the river from where we were, someone's garden.
Ten euros but took us ten minutes to get here from first seeing it.

For anyone who hasn't been it is reputed to be the biggest market in Europe,
I must put that on our list.
I guess you've been to the Saturday market in Arras?
We are making our way down the east coast next week - have you found any markets on that side of France?

Another 10Euro at this rate you will be coming home skint.
Yeah but this is brilliant, just a family garden no one else here, and right on the job didn't have to travel to it much either about 3 miles from where we were parked.
And something I have never seen before, they have a three foot park4night logo on the gate, not affiliated to anyone else.

We are looking like being a day ahead of schedule, we shall have to have a liesurely one tomorrow, don't want to be paying a days extra camping charges.

It's not supposed to rain tonight which should be a blessing. That does look a good spot but I noticed one of the reviews mentioned it cost €5 for a tractor to drag them out! :)

Oi chaser here I am at gravelines and have had to pay!!😁😁😁
Wth you told me the machine is out of order, there’s a few carthagos here also a Concorde and a Morelo, maybe they fixed it quick when they saw the gin palaces coming in🤣🤣🤣

We have stayed in back gardens in Eastern Germany.

Struck a chord with us Lenny....

Summer of 1967 Margaret (18yrs) and I (20yrs) were hitch-hiking around Europe and were dropped off just before midnight, right under the Atomium in the centre of Brussels.

At that time I had hair down to my shoulders and Margaret was quite the Hippy. We were stood there scratching our heads when were approached by a big black feller who sidled up to us and said " "You Beatnik's ??".

We were obviously out of our depth and were quickly approached by a Belgian family who insisted we go with them right away and camp out in their back garden.

Travelled with them in their car, out of the city to their home and they helped us set up our tent in their back garden. Treated us to a big mug of drinking chocolate and off to bed.

Woke up the next morning not having a clue where we were!!

Happy Days! (y)

Sorry for digressing chaser

Only if you have the electric option, our last 3 vans had gas only heaters. New van on order having gas only not worth £645 for the electric option.
We did discuss it, my wife asked how long to recover cost, I said at our useage rate of EHU about 20 years.
Wait a minute ...back up there

You have a NEW van on order?

When did this happen?

Great days , wish I had had the courage to do something similar, closest I got was sleeping in the back of an a35 van half way up the horseshoe pass :(
Probably at the same time as you were in foreign parts.
