How does the donation thing work? Does it go through Jim or do you just send a cheque then publish the thankyou for donating X amount letter that you receive back? I need to know for Falkirk..
all I am doing is dropping it in to the hull branch which is the local branch to me and were a grate help to me during my illness

That's good Bill but I wanted to know if the receipts get published somewhere. I'm just a novice remember and want to keep myself right for Falkirk.

Hi Sandra, Have a word with @Jaws or maybe he will see this post and come on and explain for all of us as he put his on the forum in a precise way which is a great help for us wanting to do the same. :)

I have no idea about other charities but we get a lovely certificate ( actually three ! ) from Air Ambulance for the lolly we raise for them.

They do three because:

1 is for Motorhome Fun]
1 is for B.I.R.D.
and 1 is for the rugby club as they let us have the site for just £200 instead of the £800-£1000 they normally charge for an event such as the Bash
 
Thanks, @Jaws , that is very good of the rugby club to let you have the parking cheaper.... Do you publish the amount made on the forum or just keep a record of everything so people can contact you to ask if needed ... I think that was what Sandra wanted to know .. How precise does she have to be with the book keeping .... breakdown into what .. raffles, camping pitches, etc. Thanks a lot. That will have helped her with your reply I am sure. :)

Off the top of my head I think the cheque sent was for £2286.60

I just keep a spread sheet with all the out goings and incomings on it.
Outgoings are itemised as are incomings, but that is just me.. It is after all a biggish meet :-)

I keep the ticket sales in one section
The charity auction and all the other incomings are itemised in the same column but as said, they are itemised

Nice one Bill @HappyBrewer , great meet thanks to Lyn Yourself and the wee man and everybody who attended, I know you put a lot of work in to get this venue after the other one pulled the rug, I don't think we disgraced ourselves so hopefully we will be allowed back.

Thank you Bill and Lyn for making our first meet a great one and thanks for all your efforts. It was nice to meet some very nice people and hope to meet many more.

It was great to catch up with you all. Although we did not need anything fixing we enjoyed watching others having things fixed. We enjoyed a drink or two whilst chatting to old and new funster friends. Thankyou Bill & Lyn it was lovely to catch up with you both . Also thankyou Jay for playing with Amanda she really enjoyed it. Amanda had a great time and enjoyed meeting you all new and old Funsters :)
